Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Suprised no one's cracked on my name yet.
I tell people I have a brother named Jim. If my wife and I ever have a baby boy we are going to name him Justin Art Klass. (Not really). Does anyone out there have an interesting name or know someone who does? Happy New Year to all!

My parents were going to name me after my grand mothers - Mary and Jane.
They decided against it at the last minute.

Well, my name isn't all that funny, but it is unusual. "Shanti" means "peace" in Hindu, so I get a lot of reaction from Indians. They normally ask if my parents are from India, and if I know what it means...etc.
I do have a funny story though. One day I was filling up at the gas station before work. This was back when I was a cake decorator, so I was highly groggy and was wearing my white bakers uniform with my name embroidered on it. As I'm standing there, a car pulls up next to me, on the other side of the pump. A black girl (maybe 20) pokes her head around the pump, and then disappears again. I hear a little chatter among them (there were 4 girls in the car). 20 seconds later, two of them come fully around the pump. The one asks me if that was my name, and I said "uuh...Yes." Then they ask how I pronounce it, so I tell them. They get ALL excited, and start bouncing up and down. So then she tells me (quite excited)...
"OMG You know, they ALWAY say there's never been a white girl with the name of Shanti...but THERE you are!!!"
LOL, I looked at them a little funny, said "Yup, here I am!" and laughed. They merrily made their way beck to their car and that was it!

I knew i recognized your name! i met you at a Arlinton, Tx reptile show i was vending and selling the anaconda. I also bummed a pack of cigarettes from ya lol.

I think thats a little beside the point, I dont want to start anything about this. I dont think I should be called out on my personal habits, that is my decision and it really is irrelevant to anything in this thread, but i appreciate your concern (not being sarcastic).
