The Metropolitan Herpetological Society is a Staten Island based reptile club that is open to people of all ages who are interested in reptiles. The club's main focus is educating the Staten Island community(as well as anyone from the five boroughs interested) on the proper care, husbandry and conservation of reptiles and amphibians. It is a great educational experience for reptile entusiasts to learn about these beautiful creatures and also participate in lectures on how to preserve their conservation in our ecosystem.
This reptile club is being started by a core group of guys who care about the welfare of reptiles in our world and we hope to spread our passion for reptiles & amphibians to the rest of the community through our dedication to educate people about them. We will have lectures each meeting. The lectures will be by very knowledgable people from the reptile community, breeders, Veterinarians and experienced herp keepers. If anyone is interested in joining us, you can check us out at
