growth rate and breeding size

I'm planning on picking up a pair of 100 albino hets in the next week or two. Both the balls are around 600g and male is already producing sperm plugs. The current owner claims that with a good feeding schedule the female will be ready to breed this upcoming season. I thought females needed to be in the 1500g range to breed. Is that kind of growth really feasible?

Me being a hobbyist first I have never bred a male until they were at least 1000 grams and fems 1500 grams.

As far as growth rate from 600 to 1500... yeah that is feasible. I would not bank on it, but it is certainly doable with a normal 7 day feeding schedule.
