Now What

Now you wait until you see her digging in her cage furiously. When this happens it is time to move her to a laying tank. I set up a 20 gallon with eco earth and just enough sand to mix with it and help it pack firm to hold when they dig a tunnel. Before I put mine in, I take my fist and put an indent in the soil to start a cave for them. It kind of gives them the idea of what to do. Also push most of the eco earth to one end so that it is really deep.
It helps if you know the date they bred so you know about when to look for her to lay. Mine all lay between 21 and 30 days after.

you could make one, or you could go to AZ Reptile (dobson and broadway) and buy an incubator

see my photo gallery of ones I have made. I can make them in any size. They are very easy to make. They need at least two heat sources in case on burns out and a controller that regulates the temps to your setting. The controller trims the lights from full on to almost full off to maintain the temp you set in it. Naturally the controller is the most expensive part however I have used the same one on many different incubators in the past. Depending on the size you want you should be albe to build one for less then 200.00 that is as good as anything on the market. I like the ones with glass windows so I can see inside each day and check on the level of humitity. My email is fstop2100a if you need any help.
