Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Soooo overdue...Soooooo worth the wait!
I can't believe I was thinking of cutting these two open! Both were HUGE eggs, and both were almost 2 weeks overdue to pop. Woke up this morning, and found this surprise. TOTAL surprise! This is my first RW to hatch, I wasn't even breeding for them! I knew Dad was a Het, but apparently mom is too. This being my first RW, can someone good with albinos confirm that's what it is? Both are almost 3 grams each already, and super active. I may even see if they'll start on crix tonight. I just can't get over the surprise! What luck!

Congrats! Looks like it is probably a RW. You had no idea the mother was a het? What morphs are the parents?

Actually these two are the result of a father/daughter pairing. Dad I knew was RW het, or at least he was sold to me as one, and I have never questioned it. (JL purchase several years ago.) Mom is actually his two year old daughter, a jungle, by what I thought was a normal, but apparently has some jungle in her. I kept only one from that year, and even let her full stripe sister go, so I figured with a 1/4 chance that any baby was a het, I figured Murphy's law says I sold all the hets, and pretty much forgot about any RW traits, since I was working for the stripes and jungles. I completely forgot about those hidden hets until I opened the incu this morning. Any math majors out there can tell me the chances of this? Not only was mom at het now, but there's still only a 1/4 to get both RW genes in a baby, right? So 1 in 16? First baby from her ever, and look at that. I'm psyched! And it does not look at all like my tremper did as a baby. I honestly thought it was a superhypo (my other line, I was wondering if I mislabeled eggs), until I remembered that Dad was a RW het.

Lookin' good. I'd wait 4 days until the first shed to feed, have never had one feed before that.

Lisa, nice to see some babies.
The dad was a het RW that left his offspring, from a breeding with a normal female with a 50% chance of being het for RW as well. You just proved that the female (his offspring) is 100% het though. So from a 100% het to 100% het bredding you have a 1 in 4 chance of producing albinos.
Congrats!!

Also thought I'd mention that the non albino sibling in the picture is 66% het for RW albino.
