    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

There are lots of different types of disabilities that aren't obvious to everyone standing in line around them. I too am disgusted by people that rip the system off leaving little money for people who genuinely need it. However, this is not the place to insinuate Amanda is abusing the system.
 
Ladysilkworm, just to let you know a person may not show a disability at all and be considered disabled for not just physical disabilities. It can also include mental disabilities. The old saying goes dont judge a book by its cover applies. I do know that for a fact in my own personal life, so enough with why you made that statement.
Amanda, Deb does have rational questions on statements that you have made. As for the negative Karma, I think you might have slightly misabused it on Jason. Only a mod. can say yes or no and I am not a mod., but I do think that was unfair.

So,basically,my husband is a deadbeat right? I mean he's only 32 and on SSI. You wouldn't be able to tell the reasons by LOOKING at him. Many,many people(including one of my children) collect SSI because of mental instabilities. Did you ever think about that?! It helps greatly with the ENORMOUS costs of medications and gives us a SMALL amount to live on. Now,basically,you're saying that because someone collects SSI(and it's not exactly an easy or short process to collect. Lots of medical documentation is needed to get approved) that they should not be allowed out of the house? Go to the library? Have a fiance? Sorry,but I have no tolerance for people who make judgements based on something they know NOTHING about.
 
I apologize for making that statement if I offended ppl who are truly deserving..

I am chinese, and I know a lot of Chinese that rip off the system. Trust me. I wish I could report them.. they collect food stamps but are so eager to show off their studdering 3 kt diamond rings.. or they take up free senior housing and use it as storage. Or go on free medicaid and drive a benz to the clinic..

I can't drive, don't drive, and don't have a license nor do I have or own any jewelry :D

But I am sorry for the way you say Chinese act..

But as you have been told not all people act, fake, and steal!!!

There are proper avenues to report abuse, look into them and use them if you do indeed see abuse.

Not to hijack the thread and get off topic but Amanda wrote in the comment section of the karma, "There is no rule that says I can't use my moms account!".....when I wrote the post, I had no knowledge that you were using your mother's account and I was just pointing out a red flag that originated from Nancy.......so your negative karma was uncalled for and unprofessional.

"no need to buy anything from me".....lol, you are more than welcome to pay the significantly higher prices of my competitors.
 
I started it and I will end it.

The money has been refunded minus the original shipping. I wont say that the silkworms died days later were my fault, (but things do happen) as every one of the customers gave me great responses about how lively they arrived and how voraciously they eat the fresh leaves I picked for them. But I will take the fault for the eggs being crushed. I didnt think they would run it through the machine when it was STAMPED FRAGILE by the postal lady after clear instructions..

LIke I said before, I would be very upset if this happened to me too. But my approach would've different.

I don't know the rest of you, but I guess Amanda and I are similar in some ways. She makes a living of breeding reptiles. I support two kids with a state income from domestic partner. None of us are living the high life. She felt she was being wronged, and I felt I was being scammed... well, its been resolved.

So, thank you all for your comments. Wow, this forum sure is powerful! Well, I now have negative rating.. sure isnt a good way to start.

Now if this was handled like this from the beginning, It would have never been known or heard about. But its resolved.
 
Reminder time - this is not the place to rant about random people abusing the system, to gripe about karma, or to place jabs at other members. I'd rather not have to take this any further....
 
This is the reason the BOI is such a powerful and useful tool!! Glad the issue was resolved and I have to say that I would have done the same thing and refunded the amount minus the shipping costs unless the package was delayed and the shipping cost could be refunded!! The childish acts just make things worse!! Good Luck to you Nancy.. it's difficult to get started but give good customer service and you can make it!! Amanda.. sorry about the losses but a lesson learned on both ends on this one! Proper shipping is the key.. don't take short cuts... it's not worth the hassle!!
