In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm really interested in finding some information about this morph. I've done searches and have found nothing but this: www.generalexotics.com/snakes-milk-snakes-c-6_14/sinaloan-clown-milk-snake-p-969 and it's not really helpful.

The reason I ask is that I got an adult male for next to nothing a couple of months back and was wondering what one should expect when plugging him into a couple of normal females next season? Is this a simple recessive or a line bred trait? If this is just recessive why aren't there more of these?

I've already posted this on ks.com and have only gotten "maybe it's a hybrid" responses so any information given would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached some pictures and as you can see he's definitely a bit weird, but still a sinaloan. I'm also pretty sure he's not a hybrid or 'intergrade' as Nathan Wells had a thread on here two years back with a 'clown'/splotched sinaloan for sale.

From what can be seen visually, my 'clown' has excessive white around the mouth (like a clowns lip makeup) and red leeching into the white bands dorsally and ventrally with the black banding fading and being very grainy.

So, again, anyone who knows something about this phase/morph please respond with any information you have.

no sarcasm intended.

i really appreciated those in the community that took their time to share their years of expertise to educate about a morph query with a very through discussion. special thanks to nathan wells and shannon brown.

and if i wanted to use sarcasm i would have added the [sarcasm][/sarcasm] brackets to ensure my message got across. ;p

just wanted to post an update.

this morph was originally produced by mark and kim bell - http://www.reptmart.com/p-2225-clown-phase-sinaloan-milk-snake-for-sale.aspx

Thanks for posting that info Brian,
it looks weird to me kinda pyro...and i don't know whats so "clownish" about it.
here are a couple of regular plain sinaloans...my favorite triangulum.

they have a lot more white around their 'lips' giving it a clown makeup kind of look and have a more reddish tongue due to the aberrant patterns. hence the clown name.

and sinaloan/nelsons are my favorite triangulum as well.

does the sinaloan clown morph vary? or do they pretty much all look the same.
i'm thinking it might have some interesting possibilities.
i never heard about it before you started this thread.

honestly, i have no idea how much they vary.

i've only seen my snake:

and the sample image from reptmart:

those 2 are definately the same morph....the white nose strikes me strange but i seen other sinaloans with light colored noses just not that white.
well anyway its a good looking variation.

you'd have to talk to the bell's about that. however, i doubt it. she's small; around 36-38 inches, and has a low triad count.

look at it this way, line breed any siblings until F4 and you'll see some weird traits pop out.

i'll be breeding her with an F3 albino sinaloan/nelson's this coming year. that should some interesting offspring.

personally, i can't wait to breed the 1.2 i kept from this years breeding.

update

i bred the clown female and one of the females i held back from that 2010 clutch to my 4ft Seib line VP male.

here's the sire:

and the dame (2010):

and the one odd offspring i'm keeping (female):

the rest of the hatchlings from both females had less white on their muzzles but were otherwise pretty basic and generic looking.

the only other notable was a male that had saddling for three RBR's mid-body.
he was sold to john emberton at EBV.
