In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

On 1/14/10 I ordered 500 med. supers from him. His business is the Cricket Factory (http://thecricketfactory.com/index.html). He said he'd mail them Monday, and that he could have them held at the post office for me, since I live in Texas and it is very hot here. They got here a day late, and were delivered to my door, instead of being held. When I opened them, they weren't medium supers, they were full size. I called him and said, "hey, these are the full sized supers. I ordered medium ones." He then told me that I hadn't ordered mediums, I had ordered regular, and that he wasn't going to replace them. At that point in the conversation I hadn't even asked him to replace them. This was a perfectly salvageable situation, but he told me he had no intention of cooperating.

I know I wasn't going to be a very big customer, just 500 worms every few months, but I feel that he treated me very shabbily. I certainly will not be doing any further business with him, and I am going to start a thread for him on Fauna BOI, and encourage other people not to do business with him either.

Aaron Framer.

So, you didn't get the SIZE that YOU said you ordered, but received the worms, and he is "sort of a theif"? Good greif! At least you got worms! Better than getting nothing i suppose. But to label him "sort of a thief" is a stretch!
You have any emails you sent him prior to the order for "proof" that you asked for medium supers?

Randal Berry

Aaron,

Have you let him know of the thread so that he has the opportunity to respond?
This happened in January, I don't remember it was that hot then?

Aaron, this thread doesn't sound like it deserves a "Bad Guy" label. You could have posted this as an inquiry. How does this make him "sort of a thief"? He didn't send you dead worms or none at all, he sent you healthy bigger worms. Have you considered that it could have been a mistake on your end? Like you could have accidentally ordered the wrong worms? I do agree that him not cooperating is a bit ridiculous but really...labeling him a bad guy might hurt his business more than you think and this doesn't sound like a huge deal like you're making it out to be.

This is just my opinion. Please don't feel attacked by it or anything.

Please post proof of emails if you have any at all. Help us help you.

if you order a bmw and get a ford you still got a car so be satisfied, sounds like your not very smart randal.. if you purchase something your supposed to receive exactly what you order.

If I had ordered larges and and gotten smalls, I could have grown them up. The reason I ordered the smaller ones is because my animals are too small to eat the full grown ones. Do you happen to know a method to shrink superworms without killing them?

But yes, he did deliver something. It just wasn't what I ordered. And is something I can't use. That's why I said, "sort of a thief."

The point about proof is a fair one. I used a credit card over the phone. Look at it this way. Who is more likely to have just made a mistake. A smalltime keeper who wanted a specific sized worm, and who called / emailed multiple vendors looking for someone who sold it, or large scale dealer who shipped something five days after he took the order?

Wow. Dustin that comment was a bit personal and isn't helping the OP by posting it. These are worms. Not cars. Please stick to the subject.

I thought Randall made a good point. And, just because the OP says he ordered one size and got another, is not the end of the story. After all, he posted the wrong date for the transaction, perhaps his memory of what size he ordered might be off as well.
I would like to hear what the vendor says.

Exactly , but really no need to be rude atm.

Not the same but a fair comparison , its the sellers obligation once hes committed to a sale to deliver exactly the product the purchaser has ordered , no deviations from that agreement unless negotiated with the buyer beforehand .

if they was no miss communication by the buyer its really the sellers responsibility and not rectifying the mistake is wrong .

To the OP ,posting all communications between the seller and you would be very helpful in determining the facts here.

Randal did make a good point. And I would also like to add: someone is either labeled a thief or not. There is no in between. Calling him "sort of a thief" is like saying he's a thief 2 times out of 10.

Is that like labeling someone, "sorta a killer"? Not really dead, but beaten up?
Give it a rest Aaron, it's not like you didn't recieve anything, it's that you didn't recieve what you ordered, but that hardly doesn't deserve a "thief" label. I know if you called me a thief, or even implied, I would come after you legally.

Aaron have you made the seller aware of this thread? That should be the first thing you do before or right after posting your thread. But that's assuming you're provided proof which you have not.

"I know if you called me a thief, or even implied, I would come after you legally."

And you would quickly have quickly run up against the same problem I did Randal. The amounts of money involved are not worth lawyering up for. I asked my credit card company what I would need to do to contest the charges. They told my to ship the worms back at my own expense and make sure to purchase the "signed for at other end" shipping. Then they could attempt to reclaim my money. The shipping would have been more than half of the money involved.

You can quibble about how can you be half pregnant, or sort of a thief, but that does not alter what I meant to convey in this thread.

My one business experience with Dan White was a bad one. He didn't deliver what he promised to deliver and was hostile when there was no call to be so. Not unlike you Randal. I marked him as a bad guy because he I feel that he cheated me. If he was just having a bad day, and his treatment of me was unusual, his business and reputation will survive. If this how he usually behaves, then more posts like mine will start to appear.

What's with all the vitriol?

I agree that the seller's input is crucial. 500 superworms is $11 and there is no difference in price posted on the site for different size superworms.

Here, from seller's site:

Plus we stand by what we sell. Live arrival and your satisfaction is guaranteed

If the seller made an error he should correct it, and it looks like a cheap fix. However, if the OP actually got what he ordered and simply misremembered about ordering a particular size, I'm thinking that seller should not have to ship out another order, what do y'all think?

It is crucial to find out what size was in fact was ordered.

As I have previously stated. The entire transaction was conducted over the phone. It's going to be his word against mine. Would emails that I sent to other vendors, asking for medium supers help?

Aaron are you going to completely dodge my question? Have you contacted the seller and made him aware of this thread or not? You're really starting to make this a big deal on your end. We were here to help you and so far you have given us nothing but witty rebuttals.

Sorry, missed that.

I don't think it would hurt.
