    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I signed up copy and paste stuff from this thread to that website under her profile. I know she hasn't been there in quite sometime, as it was 08 she last logged in but at least the other people on that site will know what her and her husband has done.
 
I agree and you have to wonder at this point in time whether Child Services has been in touch with them? If anyone has any clue PLEASE let us know or if they have moved (that may be the case) Child Services and the law may not have a clue as to their whereabouts! I am just waiting for the day that they feel confident enough to show their face in the reptile community again because NOONE will forget this and the fact that the fliers are being spread throughout the Continental US means that they will really have no escape. We need to get some to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico now!
 
I seriously thought for sure if I waited a week I would come check this page again and they would be locked up!!!! What is wrong with the police investigating this case. My guess is they are not going to do anything. Really it doesn't take this long. They basically have the case and evidence handed to them. Our justice system sucks. I hope something happens to these people for what they did. I mean at the very least the courts should make them pay back the money. But they did do a crime so they should do the time...
 
I would have figured I would have had some contact by now from the law. But NOT! I've recontacted the IC3 to ask them whats going on...no response. I contacted the law in MI. AGAIN! No response.

I figure I've been more then patient. I worded my complaints the best I know how, and sent all my evidence...still not a peep from ANY law enforcement agency, U.S., MI, TX...NOTHING! And they wonder why some of us would rather just take it to a more "personal" level and be done with it.

I completely understand now why AZ said they'll do it themselves. Because our government is incapable of performing such simple tasks as, enforcing laws. I should have just went when I had the open door instead of holding off again to try one more possible channel to get it done through legal means.

I agree it is slow going Rick and I share your frustrations but cooler minds prevail.

Yesterday I just finally heard from my state's Attorney General concerning the IC3 complaint I made. Of course it was just a generic letter but it has at least made it to them from wherever the IC3 complaint first went to.

Also, I was wondering if anyone else other then the two who have already posted they too have received confirmation from their respective Attorney Generals (if I remember correctly that was Shadera and Steve) have heard anything from theirs?

I've read a significant portion of this thread, and have an understanding of the heinous nature of the crime that was committed. As I understand it these two have gone underground (where they belong IMO). Inevitably, they will attempt to re-surface. In all likelihood they will use aliases, and will misrepresent their history.

If anyone who knows them can provide general background, such as the species of herps they keep, their hobbies/interests, etc - it may set off a "red light" should they try to initiate a transaction with an unsuspecting person. Even though the herp community is large, I don't think it's large enough for them to disappear - even if they misrepresent themselves.

Does this make sense? I apologize if I'm off track - I didn't have time to read the entire thread.

As far as I know they were into the Geckos (leopards), half a dozen crested geckos and Ball pythons. While it seemed there were not too good at producing geckos (leopards) and they were not producing anything ball wise this year. So, the only things they would be trying to sell is what they have, some geckos (crested and leopard) and the balls (of which as I understand most of which are not theirs anyhow. Some were not totally paid for and some were sent to them intended to a joint project)

I have a friend who knows law enforcement in Flint, MI where these people are located, he works with them every day. I will see if he can at least find out if anything is being done.
 
Interesting. I just received a response finally. From the same person you contacted David.

Pretty much says it's on the people who actually sent MONEY, and not items, to do the filing, and also the intended recipient.

I particularly like the following portion...

I can see the other side of the coin as well however. Most department's, mine included, just don't have the resources to investigate crimes like this. Its technically a federal crime but the feds aren't going to touch this case we both know."

As frustrating and as futile as it seems I am not giving up. I will try another route and another and another until they pay for what they have done. They will pay until I am satisfied they have paid enough and I will not be satisfied easily.
 
Rick, do you happen to have that person's name and number? Crud, I paid actual money, so you know what, I can keep pushing this. I sent a significant amount of money in fact... so, it would be nice if I heard anything from anyone!!!
