In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was just checking out this expo,$15 to get in. This is to much to me. I have a family of 5 and that is just $75 to GET IN,was it this much last year?

I don't remember how much it was last year but keep in mind, that's for both days. There are over 500 tables and a lot of great deals to be had.

Damn lol..I went to the one and only show they had in my town...It was $10to get in for one day..They had 15-16 tables and a few of them were just people showing off their hots..I couldnt imagine a reptile show with 500+ tables...LUCKY is all I can say..

I honesty can't believe you posted this in the BOI. This belings in the General Business Discussion Forum. Fifteen bucks seems high to me, but what are you gonna do?

I copied this from their site...

Visitors

1. Admission is $15 per person. Children 6 yrs. and under are free. Credit and debit cards are not accepted for registration.
2. All Boy/Girl Scouts in uniform enter without charge on Sunday.
3. Wristbands are your pass to the Expo for both days and should be worn on your wrist.

Maybe I should bump my prices up!

We usually have 60-75 tables at $8 per day or $12 for both days.

Ive been going for a good few years now and I believe the prices have stayed the same. I dont remember exactly how much it has been in the past years, but I know it hasnt varied more than a few dollars. At a normal Repticon, etc. show its anywhere from $8-10 admission for ONE day. So $15 is definitley worth it. The show will take you 2 days to see EVERY table. If you think youve seen them all in 1 day, good chances that on the 2nd day you would find out you missed a few tables or even a whole row lol. It's an amazing expo and worth every penny.

I have to admit going with a large family can slightly break the wallet but a note to save some money would be to bring food from home so you dont spend a :censored: load of money on food while your there. You'll spend just as much money on food for one afternoon as the entrance charge to actually get in.

I've been going for several years now. And yes, the price is higher than last year....and last year's price was higher than the year before, and so on and forth. I think each year I went, it went up a little. I wouldn't get too political and totally blame the economy here. But these things are not cheap to run either.

Its hard when you have a big family and I do think there should be a children's price. Like 8-10 for a child. Or one free child per adult. Something to sweeten the deal for families and make it more affordable. I think an email to the organizers suggesting tha wouldn't be a bad idea. Coupons, something. I do feel paying $15 per myself and boyfriend is not bad, but then my daughter who is only 11, I pay full price for too and that does kinda suck.

I am bringing our own snacks and some drinks. Backpacks are allowed, right?

Also, if the expo is too expensive for a family, and there were no plans on purchasing a reptile, perhaps instead make a trip to Deland to the reptile zoo there. Admission is less than the cost of a movie ticket and you get to see venomous snakes get milked.

That way your kids still got to see some cool reptiles, even venomous ones, and you get to save some money :)

Not to mention, it's DAYTONA. Paradise. Biggest on Earth. I like the Repticon shows, and they are reasonably priced, but for this show, I think $15 is pretty good.
