In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

flipping is a whole nother story here.. that is only part of the issue that people have taken with..

yes there are a lot of flippers, but you can't come out, trying to flip something without properly identifying it, and follow it up with the "i'm new" line , and not expect people to question your practices

That is your opinion and I respect that but a few questions. When you went and bought gas today did you get it for the same price the gas station paid for it or did they buy there gas for less and charge you more for it? If you look at your daily life can you really not say you have neve bought something for less and sold for more? You must not be into stocks. I am not by any means trying to say what I did was right but I am trying to say that what I did never hurt anyone. The seller I bought from got what he/she was asking for the snake and the person buying from me got the snake he/she wanted.
Dont know how true this is buy I heard from a breeder in daytona that someone bought the first Dreamsicle from ralph for $30,000 and sold it the next day for $40,000. Pretty good investment if you ask me, isnt that what 90% of the people into ball pythons are doing? Investing in snakes to raise up, breed, and sell? I did the same thing just didnt raise them up and breed them.

But you seemed to be giving the IMPRESSION that you were breeding, and you said you were a noobie. THAT's why people started getting suspicious..NOT because you were a flipper. Probably if you had never exaggerated (being polite) it would never have triggered any alarms as long as people were getting what they paid for. :shrug01:

Great minds think alike.:)

He never said anything about flipping. Just your general techniques I think he meant. :shrug01:

There's not a thing wrong with flipping snakes, as long as you're honestly representing the animals and doing things legitimately. Heck, I have several animals I got from a broker and I see no issue with it. Some folks won't buy from resellers, I have a couple I really like.

What most of us WILL have a problem with, and you just don't seem to get it, is that you were stealing pictures to use to sell those animals. That's where you're wrong, but you're still all defensive over the stuff no one could probably care less about.

I really hope John did get his full refund in a timely manner, including the paypal fees you charged him for the original transaction. (Another practice a lot of us look down on which is against paypal terms, by the way.) And I also hope you've learned that dishonesty or conveniently leaving things out isn't going to fly on Fauna if you want to stay very long. Time to move on then, and put a better foot forward to build a good reputation.

Yes I understand why people are questioning my practices and I am here trying to clear up everything as best I can. I am trying to explain every problem people have had thats why I asked if there was anything else just ask me.

Also I am assuming your talking about the pinstripe I had up in an add... I was told that he was an axanthic pin from a breeder in daytona so i took him for his word. I guess I never should have even mentioned IMG on the snake but I never said he was one. I have since takin that add off and have decided to keep him to avoid any problems. He is big enough that he will go this season so in a few years maybe I can prove his genetics and then post his sibs up with known genetics.

Well the pastels were from a clutch that I breed. The other animals were not.

Can you please explain, and stop avoiding the fact that you stole pictures from other breeders?

I understand that the pics were the wrong thing to do and I explained in a previous post that It was definitely the wrong way to go about things. The only thing I said about that is that the pics were of the actual animal I was selling. (the pics were not mine but from the person I was buying the animal from). I really hope this all washes out in the future and yes I refunded john 100%.

I've posted this a few times but I will once again. We will use EBN for example.... I inquired about his snakes, we will say the mojo spiders, then he told me what he could sell them to me for. I then put them in an add for sale (pics were of the actual animal the buyer would be getting).

Wait... you listed an ad for animals that you didn't own yet?

Exactly...While I dont condone it,I dont frown on it either..Unless you are taking in animals as a "rescue" and then sellin them for big $$...It seems that what gets me is the number of people who come here and seem to steal pics,or sell animals that they dont know about...And trying to compare flippin to stocks,is very feeble minded...It goes to show what you think about this hobby and shows where your true interest is which is just $$$...

Sorry for the double post, and for reference, its on Page 8 of this thread, post #76/77.

I happen to think that "flipping" is just like the stock market, buy for less sell for more. And you can say all I care about is the $$$$, every penny I made so far has went into buying myself ball pythons. So its more or less about me getting "discounts" on my purchases.

I want to know why you thought it was okay to list an animal for sale that you had not even bought yet? How is that okay? What if it was sold before you could buy it, if someone wanted it? Did you post it as "Animal is not in my possession, but I can buy it to sell you if you send me the money"?

What thought process makes it okay to sell things you don't have?

He had that animal listed on kingsnake if I do recall correctly and I inquired about it. Once again it was of the actual animal for sale.

I hate to say it, but your ability recall anything is lacking.

If your ad on 7-21-2010 @ 11:23pm, you listed several animals for sale, particularly a 0.1 650 Gram Caramel Albino for $1600 Shipped. Matt Oakley then replied to your ad stating..exact quote..."Why are you using my picture of my Caramel in your ad without my permission?"

I dont think thats inquiring about anything. Your trying to pass off other people's animals as your own. Im willing to bet that if I paid you $1600 for that Caramel Shipped, I would have been waiting my entire life for that snake.
