In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Guy Brunke AKA Guyco Gecko - Theif, liar, flipper

Looks like Guy is only removing photos once they are brought to his attention...how hard is it to tell if you took a photo or not?

I wont be getting in a pissing contest. Depends on which registrar you go through and your options depends on the information posted. It can be completely empty, registrars information, domains by proxy and possibly other stuff. Here is an example (pulling from my own records)

None of what you said applies to this situation. It's all or nothing with domain privacy registration. You don't get to pick and choose what you want to be displayed. All of the information is the owners information in this case outside the fake name. None of it has to do with privacy registration.

His registration is under GoDaddy...If it were a GoDaddy privacy registration, his information would say (with maybe a slight variance):

ICANN said:
3.7.7.1 The Registered Name Holder shall provide to Registrar accurate and reliable contact details and promptly correct and update them during the term of the Registered Name registration, including: the full name, postal address, e-mail address, voice telephone number, and fax number if available of the Registered Name Holder; name of authorized person for contact purposes in the case of an Registered Name Holder that is an organization, association, or corporation; and the data elements listed in Subsections 3.3.1.2, 3.3.1.7 and 3.3.1.8.

Now, the reason why I brought it up was because of him being suspect of being the same person as skanndelus...It looked suspicious to me that the registration name wasn't a full name of the owner. That's it.

So i've read over most of this post, and i'd like to throw my 2 cents in. Personally i think the complaint/original purpose of this post is pretty pointless. But the more obvious point in all this is that Guy Brunke/ however many other names he is going by, is very cheap, and not someone trustworthy to do business with.

Just wanted to add my experience with Guy. Last month, as a first-time Guyco buyer, I purchased 3 beautiful cresties from him. All communications and transactions were courteous, timely, and professional. He was very careful to ship around both of our extreme weather forecasts, and the animals were perfect. I would definitely do business with him again.

Can we get a mod or contributor to run an IP check?

Just to clarify I meant a benefactor, not a contributor, and I ask not because this woman seems like she is Guy in disguise but because "Erik" had the same IP address as Guy, which implies to me that he knows his friend's passwords on fauna and will log in to post as them.

Christine-

It isn't his his shipping or salesmanship that are being questioned, but his ethics (stealing other breeders' photos and using them on his website/cheating breeders out of the true value of their animals/reneging on contract terms) and how he's obtaining the animals he sells, plus the fact that several people have had problems with DOAs and the health of the animals they've purchased from him.

It sounds like he sells/flips the animals almost immediately after her receives them, which means he isn't quarantining them to observe any possible health issues they may have and treating those issues, plus the animals become stressed during shipping and need a period of rest before they're acclimated, but they're being shipped right out again almost immediately, which adds to their stress level, leaving them open to all kinds of additional health issues, on top of any they might already have that haven't been treated in their time with him.

It's just plain CRUEL to the animals!

And it's not fair to the breeders or HIS customers, either.

:iagree: Why play with a loaded gun??...

Seriously.

Have the animals' health EVER been taken into consideration in Guy's business??

It sure doesn't sound like it!!

Even if the animals were perfectly healthy when they arrived at Guy's from any of the original breeders, by the time they got to the new buyers, there's the distinct possibility that they were VERY STRESSED, which opens the door to MANY health problems which could cause their DEATHS!

Even the healthiest of animals NEED to rest between shippings, and not just for a few days or weeks, but for at LEAST 30 to 90 days!!

An animal with an under-lying parasite/viral/bacterial infection not only needs to be rested longer, they need to be TREATED for those infections when they become apparent!

That's the purpose of quarantining new animals before they're added to an established collection, but it's even MORE important when the animals are being stressed due to shipping.

SamanthaJane,

You're right, guess I hadn't thought the whole thing out. I'm fairly new to this industry, and perhaps naive. As for those of you questioning my IP, I promise I'm not enough of a computer person to even know what that is, much less how to fake one.

I am assuming Clay already did the IP check..But..Anyways...If you had a great transaction, thats good...Now since you are here you can look for better breeders...I certainly wouldnt risk going back..The next time may be bad,and could have been prevented..No one is really knocking you (yet) about your post talking good about Guy..Hopfully they read far enough to see whats up..

Thanks James. Lesson learned. I really did have a good transaction w/ Guy, but didn't realize all this. My animals come first. I hope in the future to sell my geckos here, and truly do not want my reputation to start off negatively. I welcome the moderator's scrutiny, and if I need to offer further proof of my identity, someone please tell me how and I will.

Donna, or anyone else, please post the links to any evidence to this accusation......my searches have come up empty.

Nobody's laying any blame on you, Christine. You're an innocent in this.

Buyers expect breeders to sell healthy animals.

I'm sure you had no idea that Guy is a flipper. Why would that thought even cross your mind??

Now, though, you've come across the DARK SIDE of the herp business, and I hope you've learned that some people don't do the right thing when caring for the animals when their health and well-being should come first.

For the sake of the animals you have now, and for the sake of your pocketbook and your conscience, I hope this valuable "Buyer Beware" moment has made a positive impact on you.

If so-it was a mistake you'll learn from!!

Check the BOI for dealers you may want to buy from and stay away from unscrupulous Bad Guys!!

Good luck with all your animals!!

Okay-I must be mistaking this case with another I read recently, so I retract THIS portion of my post, but his husbandry is STILL an issue if he's not quarantining the animals he relieves and treating them for any health issues.

I apologize for that portion of the post-which is more than Guy has done for his customers.

Sorry.
