    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So the other day I was stripped for time and did the "not so responsible not so smart" thing and tossed some pinkys in with three of my '10 okeetees in a brown paper bag. Leaving for a brief while I told my wife to keep an eye on them. So I picked up my younger brother from school and took him home which took no longer than 15 minutes, I get back and there is only 1 1/2 snakes in the bag. Not thinking of anything but saving the 2 partially downed snakes I did not snag any pics. This is what looks like happened... ABC for reference. Snake A had gotten snake B literally 3/4's of the way down before snake C had gotten snake A 1/2 way down... If that makes any sense? Lol
Anyway I quickly realized what was going on and removed the snakes from one another by a milking type regurg mind you none of the pinkys were even touched.:shrug01:
I learned my lesson and am guessing it was just the scent of the pinks that set them off to turn on one another. Any thoughts comments or similar situations let me know! Thanks;

Yeah, I tell people all the time, snake cannibalism isn't just a kingsnake thing.

I've seen red-tails eating BPs, burms eating red-tails, spotted pythons eating each other, many others, including a bullsnake eating a small Dumerils boa!

If you think about it, its the most natural prey item for another snake; no limbs, spikes, horns, claws, etc. Fits inside the snake's belly most naturally!

Very good point! And really... About those different species cannibalizing? That's crazy I have never heard of such a thing, other than kings. Although I was doing some cleaning a month or two ago and threw all my snakes in one bin and just got to cleaning. About 6 or 7 minutes into it I hear crazy bangs and boom from inside the bin. I look inside and see my male anery with a half dwarf burms tail in I mouth. Crazy crazy crazy.

Same here. I've been saying this for over 30 years!

Snakes are opportunistic feeders! Plain and simple.

I've seen snakes that were kept together for over 10 years feed on a cage mate (African Rock and Boa Constrictor). I've see a baby western hog eat a baby corn.
