In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Quick question for the anaconda people out there, anybody have any suggestions on what to price F2 Hybrid anacondas at. I have talked to a couple people and they were very similiar in price range, just would like to get other conda keepers suggestions, before I post.

Anacondas

Hey bud, I produced Yellow/Green crosses before. I don't really think that you can classify these as F2 Hybrids because they are the same species of snake. They are just a cross, not a true Hybrid.
A Hybrid is breeding a Burm to a Retic. Not an Anaconda to an Anaconda.

Anaconda

Hey man, I kept all mine. I love Anacondas, they are my favorite snake. The crosses are good looking snakes. Everyone of them look different. Its up to you on what you want to charge. I would love to have some of yours myself. Keep in touch and good luck.

How is one a hybrid and not the other? In both cases, you are breeding two different species in the same genus.

Python reticulatus x Python molurus
Eunectes murinus x Eunectes notaeus

Anacondas

if you breed a Retic to a Burm, you get Bateaters. That's a Hybrid. Now if you breed an Anaconda to an Anaconda, what do you get? An Anaconda right. That's not a Hybrid. It makes the same snake. How can it be a Hybrid?

Because breeding a green anaconda with a yellow anaconda is crossing two different species.. Your logic seems to rely on the fact that they both have the same base common name (Anaconda)? Green's and Yellow's are two completely different species. Just like a burm and a retic are.

Thats like trying to say that breeding a retic and a burm together isn't a hybrid, because they are both pythons.

Is all your logic just based on common names? Do you really not understand this?

Anacondas

I don't think you understand. A Yellow Anaconda is an Anaconda. A Green Anaconda is an Anaconda. They have the same name.
Now a Reticulated Python is a Reticulated Python. Not a Burmese Python. That's why they are a Hybrid and the Anacondas are crosses. I've been doing this for a long time my friend.
The Retic and Burmese are completely different snakes. An Anaconda, wether Green or Yellow, is still an Anaconda.
My conversation with you is done. You make no sense.

Wow... I'm speechless... I don't care how long you've been doing this, you obviously have no clue how taxonomical classification works. Green and Yellow Anaconda's are NOT the same species. I repeat, NOT the same species. Just like Reticulated Pythons and Burmese Pythons are NOT the same species. Both are pythons, but not the same species of python. "Anaconda" is nothing more than a common name applied to both of them. Green and Yellow Anacondas are two different species in the genus Eunectes, just like Retics and Burms are two different species in the genus Python.

Pythons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Python_(genus)#Species

How does that not make any sense to you??
YOU make no sense.

Anacondas

Like I said, I'm done with this conversation. I should have known better than to argue with a couple kids. I have been keeping Anacondas longer than you guys have been alive. Sorry to bother you guys.

You can have been keeping Anacondas for as long as you like, but that doesn't change the fact that they are classified as two separate species? I'm sure Ben Renick or Kelly Haller would agree.

I don't know why you are getting so defensive about it? But if you want to remain ignorant in the face of scientific classification, that's your call..

Green and yellow anacondas are members of the same genus...just as retics and burms are members of the same genus. They are, however, different species (murinus for the green, and notaeus for the yellow), just as retics and burms are different species - so the green x yellow cross IS a hybrid. You may have been doing this a long time; but, in this case, you are mistaken.

I'm not a kid, and I'll argue that either one of them has a better understanding of this stuff then you. A CROSS would be two animals of the same species. A Boa Constrictor imperitor, with a Boa Constrictor constrictor. That's a cross. BC constrictor with a BC amarali. Also a cross. Boa Constrictor with Boa Mandrita, now that's a hybrid mr. snake "master".

To the OP, I can't answer your question because I do not follow Annies and I don't follow hybrids even more.

Anacondas

Alright kids, I see you called on all your friends to defend you. Good luck in your snake keeping. And again, a Cross is a Cross. And a Hybrid is a Hybrid. Now what's the" hybrid" name for CROSSING 2 Anacondas??????? If I'm not mistaken, its called a Yellow/Green CROSS. Thank you.

The human mind, a lot like a parachute, works a lot better when it's open.

Ok sorry to get some of you arguing with eachother, that was not my intentions. But back to my original post, does anyone have an idea on what to set the price at on these guys? I dont want to be to high and not make any sales but dont want to lowball them and loose some possible good money. Any info would be great just trying to get some numbers.
Thanks Andy
