    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, he was just using stolen pictures (taken from Albeys Too Cool Reptiles) when advertising a breeding female mojave ball python. The thread was deleted, but I mentioned it in another to warn buyers and this was his response,

^ill add that the 3 pics of his 'female mojave' were undoubtedly 3 distinctively different snakes...so hes a sloppy scammer at that. been way too many 5-15 posts just joined people runnin some obvious scams in ads...either there making new names or theres just way to many of them, i think we need a thread or entire section dedicated to recent ad scams or very questionable ads to keep people up to date on it...
 
Good to know, guys. I would be extremely careful in dealing with this guy. He wouldn't provide any references or one single piece of identifying information, yet still insisted that I ship first. When I told him I'd drive 3 hours to do the trade in person, he backed out of the deal. BEWARE.
 
Wow... it's pretty blatantly three different snakes in his ad and clearly those photos are from Albey's page.

Obvious scammer is obvious.

How does jumping up and down screaming, "I'm not a scammer!" convince anyone of anything? The questions put to you are quite legit....why were Albey's pictures used in your ad? And why would you post three different snakes to represent one snake you supposedly had? :confused:

If you can give reasonable answers to those two questions, then maybe someone might be willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise.....well...you've screwed yourself right well. :shootfoot
 
I didnt post the pictures. Trust me, The person who was supposed to take pictures of my girl were seriously lazy and brought it upon thereselves to use someone elses pictures. They have been repremanded. And I can promise everyone that it will NEVER happen again. I am no scammer.

Alright...that's a start. But if that is the case, why didn't you just say so when asked about it in your other advert thread?

Rather than simply say someone else posted those pics without your permission you call this person a liar and then accuse them of doing the same thing, without, of course, a shred of proof. :rolleyes:

That's not typically the action of an innocent person.

And while I'm thinking about it...are you typically in the habit of giving your account permissions over to someone else and letting them post your ads for you? Isn't that just asking for trouble? (If what you say is true, then you've already tasted exactly the sort of trouble I mean.)

And trust me, Ive learned from it and itll never happen again. People just jumped the gun and accused me of things that I had no control over. This is for everyone..... I apologize, i am sorry, and it will never happen again.

Mike, your emails were always cordial, which goes a long way to soothing misunderstandings on the internet.

However, in our conversation you were unable to produce one single person (customer, or someone you purchased from) that could verify you even owned snakes. You didn't provide a single piece of evidence (phone number, address, etc...) that you are even the person you claim to be.

When I offered to drive 3 hours to trade with you in person, you backed out completely. That is my experience, and I think this thread will dissuade anyone from dealing with you without meeting you in person.
