I am confused.....James Bowers' posts all read like he lives in the Northwest, yet his profile clearly says "Louisville, KY".....which is of course where I am from. What gives?

I'm from KY. I lived in Spokane from 2003 until September of 2010 this year. I relocated to be closer to all of the trade shows that makes this industry happen. I'm back amongst the living after being out in the woods for the past 7 years.

If what has been said about her is true, what is really bothersome is the fact that she is able to post for sale ads here and, to make matters worse, be able to display her "good guy certification".

The GoodGuy system rules are posted there. So far her trader rating has more positive comments than negative. and her GoodGuy poll has zero comments.

Huh??? So everyone should adjust what they want to do and say so they don't inadvertently bump a thread you're subscribed to so you don't get any more e-mails???

Two VERY simple solutions for you that will not involve dictating your world to everyone else...

1. Turn off your e-mail notification for subscribed threads. (This is option found in your userCP)

2. UNsubscribe to this thread. (Click on the link at the top of the thread called "Thread Tools" and select the "unsubscribe" option.

That was exactly my point Lindsay. If there are 20 positive comments in the trading system, do they need 20+ negative experiences to modify their profile? Depending on the nature of the negative experience, it seems one should be enough to remove a good guy accreditation. If not there's a chance to have 19 people with bad experiences before a change is made. But let's leave this discussion for the feedback forum...

the way i read it just one in the right place would do it. i was trying not to explicitly suggest it since I presumably have no direct knowlege of the events in this thread, I only read the last couple pages since it was cross-posted in the Uromastyx section.

Right now it seems there's not one in the right place. From what we know from this thread there's an individual selling an animal that was not paid for (legally it doesn't belong to her); furthermore selling animals that are apparently not what they are supposed to be (bear with me I'm no frog expert ), plus... An individual that does "his homework" (as some like to label it here) makes a purchase based on the good guy certification and, if he ends up in the wrong end of a deal, wouldn't he or she be upset the purchase was made based on the reputation backed of by this certification?

not suprising.....

I am not one bit suprised to hear she is charging to walk in the doors or to hear that she is going out of business, I have tried calling the store at least 25 times and have never gotten an answer and the first time I walked in I was completly ignored for about 20 minutes I walked around without her saying 1 word to me I finally approached her about a chameleon she was nice until she found out I wasn't buying 1 that day because I wanted my fiance to be with me to help pick 1 out so I blew it off and came back with him a few days later he had never been in there so he wanted to look at everything wendy was there nd so was a woman who we figured to be her mother we walked around for about 20 min or so b4 we made it to the chameleons wendy had gone into the back and shut the door I tried asking her mom a couple questions and the only answer I got was I don't know so we were just going to wait for wendy to out but after another 15 minutes my fiance said forget were buying somewhere else, but what finally made me realize she is not a good business woman was the 3 baby chams she posted online I wanted them badly I called got no answer left a message asking if they were available to be picked up she called me back and I asked if I could pick them up tomorrow morning and she hung up on me I couldn't believe it I called back no answer left message told her I really wanted them but I live over 3 hours away and I just could not mmake it in but that I had a friend in town who could bring by a deposit to hold onto them....I never heard back so I called one more time and it was her mom who answered and said whoever comes with the cash first takes them and hung up I will never go back in that store and am so thankful for the excellent customer service at RASMUSSEN REPTILES in northtown mall they have been nothing but nice and I now have 3 beautiful veilds, I hope if she does stayy in business she will learn how to treat everyone that walks through the doors with respect and not like a crap.

Kaydee, here's a tip when typing out a long story online; people find it much easier to read your story if you use commas, periods, and separate paragraphs when you have expressed one idea and are moving on to the next. I have been to Rasmussen. They made me feel a little uncomfortable--like I was a bad person for asking them a question about their products. Even though I assume if run a store, it's supposed to be ok for customers to ask questions.
