In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This thread is over due by a long shot I've tried numerous time's for several months to get ahold of Adam Wysocki of 8 Ball Pythons regarding a Normal Female I purchased from him at the Richmond Reptile Expo on 03/28/2010
I have yet to recive a return phone call or email from him regarding the Female I purchased from him.

A few days after having the Female Bp in my care I started to notice that she had a wobble to her. I found this weird as she would climb she would twirl as if she was going in circles. Her movement got worse over the time of 2 weeks as if she had no control to which way she would go.
After having her for a month I was doing my daily rounds and found her in the water bowl.
The reason for the thread is that Ive tried every way possible to get ahold of Adam Wysocki Phone calls Emails Even tried contacting him on facebook before she passed away to let him know I was worried about her becuase of the way she moved she didnt look right to me at all.
She looked as if she was stuck in a daze.
I know its been awhile since the purchase of the Normal Female Ball Python I got from Adam Wysocki of 8 Ball Pythons. I still email him weekly regarding her and the situation and have yet to recive any sort of return contact from Adam.
I dont know what to do or how to get ahold of him. As email and phone calls dont do it. I was hoping to see him at the Expo to pull him to the side and talk with him on the subject but He hasn't been there since 03/28/2010
And I dont know what to do or how to contact him as I've tried everyway I can think of to get ahold of him without any success.

I made previous purchase's from Adam and they went smoothly but the lack of communication and the Headache of trying to get ahold of him isn't worth it in the long run to me

If you purchased this snake at an expo didn't you have the chance to check it out in person prior to buying it? Was it OK when you purchased it.. Assuming it was, did adam offer any type of health guarantee?

I am not saying it's your fault that the snake died, but i am not sure Adam did anything wrong?? Although, of course I think it would be nice for Adam to call you back..

Sorry for your loss.

That's the same thing I was thinking. :ack2:

While the wobble has been documented even in Pins; that was my first thought, too.

I am sorry the snake passed away of unknown causes, but why didn't you get a necropsy? Did you take any pictures? Do you have any evidence (emails) showing your attempts to contact the seller?

Last I heard, Adam sold his collection and is no longer in the business.

Sounds like what someone would do if the whole collection was infected with IBD. Followed by not answering or returning contact from a bunch of pissed off people.

That's a HUGE stretch. IBD is actually not nearly as common as people like to claim it is and there are a lot of other reasons a snake might display such symptoms. If Adam's collection had had such an illness, he would NOT have sold them off, he would have put them down. He never had boas or dealt with them in any way, either. He was strictly a ball-python guy. And he sold off his business to focus on congressional lobbying to help protect YOUR rights to own your snakes. Since then, other personal issues have apparently come up that I'm not privy to. I won't pretend to understand why Adam won't return communication with a former customer, but I also won't sit back and watch people who don't know him try to ramp up the fear mongering rumor mills by making such unsubstantiated statements.

Ok, it might not be the case, but you can't say it isn't possible. Maybe not possible for him, I don't know him. I was just the victim of someones "going out of business" sale and it ended in the same way this did. I respect you sticking up for your friend, but if someone made that comment about me in a BOI thread, I would be more likely to reply to it then to continue to ignore the situation.

It has been 7 months. Plus he has a wee bit of a history:

I know his history....and I won't make any excuses for him and his apparent inability to wrap up old business deals. But that is worlds away from suggesting he knowingly had IBD in his collection and therefore sold it off.

Is it possible??? No more or less possible than YOU having IBD in your collection right now. Or me having it in mine. But regardless of his business problems, he LOVES the animals way too much to risk spreading disease to anyone else's. He would NOT have done such a thing...period.

How can any of us know what happened to that snake? It was fine at the show. Maybe it got overheated on the ride home and developed neurological damage that progressed over time? Maybe it was exposed to some sort of chemical or pesticide at the buyer's house? Did the OP get a necropsy done? We don't know, because that question hasn't been answered yet. But unless he did AND shows proof of it being IBD, I find it highly irresponsible for people to leap to this ultimate conclusion of Adam knowingly selling off IBD-infected stock.

In that amount of time, given the concern the buyer states he exhibited, I would expect pictures at the very least.

I would have also expected a necropsy to have been done.:shrug01:

You're right, and I apologize for letting my bitterness leak into thread. Hopefully the seller replys.

This is unfortunate as these "bad guy" threads keep popping up about Adam. Their is alot of confusion whether he is still in the buisness or not, personally i dont know. My opinion is, that he sold a sickly snake to someone. Whether it be a normal or not, he sold a snake that was not in good health. Even if he is out of the buisness or not he should still take care of his transactions regaurdless. It's not like he can bankrupt is past buyers, although it seems hes doing it more and more nowadays. I hope you can get your money back, i wouldnt even consider taking another animal from him.

How do you KNOW he sold a "sickly snake" to someone? You even say you don't know if he's still in business or not...but you KNOW he sold a sick snake? Based on what? The OP's initial post? According to that, the snake didn't even show signs of being ill until a "few days" had passed after he brought it home. She was apparently healthy enough at the show. If she wasn't sick then, how should Adam know she was sick? How do you know she wasn't exposed to something at the show? How do you know she wasn't exposed to something in the time between the purchase and the onset of symptoms?

:shrug01:

I don't think it matters at this point who's fault it is. That is to be determined between Clarence and Adam. I think the real question is, why is he not responding (to anyone) but continues to sell? I think the OP at least deserves a "Sorry, sold as is"

Oh, and rumor has it he is still attending shows.

He is attending shows in the present time; I recently attended Hamburg in October and he had a table. He also had snakes there for sale.

I don't know him personally, but this isn't the first time a complaint came up regarding Adam. I believe it wasn't too long ago he took a large sum of a customer's money, spent it, and never sent the customer his snakes. I believe he is clearing the air in regards to that incident but I haven't heard anything since then.

Good luck with your situation, I hope you get a resolution and closure.

I have to concur. It does appear that too much time has passed and there are too many questions left unanswered.

I am not supporting ANYONE. I am pointing to the lack of supported FACTS on the part of the buyer.
