Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

It really is! My son left my pied's enclosure unsecured right around the time I had a huge hole in the wall adjacent to the snake area, plus a hole in the floor, due to plumbing repair and construction.

The snake made his escape and though I searched systematically for HOURS, I could not find him. After missing him for two weeks, I was forced to conclude that he had gone down the huge hole where the toilet had been. My son and I both cried over the loss because he was a favorite pet.

That was OVER six months ago. Yesterday, I was cleaning the house frantically to prepare for visitors. I walked into the guest bathroom (which still has an open area in the roof) and there he was, drinking from the toilet like a dog. He's skinny but otherwise none the worse for wear. I soaked him and then gave him a rat, which he promptly devoured. I can only think he must have been hiding in the rafters all this time.

My son cried again, with joy, when I called him in and showed him the snake. Every time I look at my naughty pied boy now, I just can hardly believe it. Hallelujah! (and, hopefully, a lesson learned for my son!)

I can only imagine how that must feel to find him.. as well as how it felt to lose him.. dang!!!



My friend had a cornsnake get loose once.. a year later she saw him poke his head out of a hole in the wall in her room.. he was fatter then ever.. apparently they had a good amt of mice.. she never did catch him, but got a glimpse, or snake shed here and there.. lol
 
Thanks, everyone! Yes, I was beyond astonished. I said my thank-you prayers and put a lock on his cage. :eek: I still can't really believe it!
 
OMG!! after 6 months!! nice.. I lost a pastel for a week and the little girl made it acrossed the entire house, past 2 big dogs and visitors, and ended up in a boot of my wifes!! I was happy after 1 weeks, couldn't imagine after 6 months.
 
This happened to a buddy of mine. lost a ball at his parents house when u moved back in and had to hide it, and then found it 3-4 months later wrapped around the base of the toilet. Guess if I ever lose a snake Im looking in the bathroom first!
 
congrats on finding him. i had this happen with tokay gecko once. i use to put him outside with my iguana in a cage. needless to say he got out and about 2 months later he was on the front of the house. i grabbed him and he was as fat and happy as can be.

U have to be lying, cuz I have never heard of a happy tokay.

ok maybe happy wasn't the right word (still have the scar on my hand) but i think you know what i ment.
lol
p.s. on one of expo vids ( i want to say snakebytes) there was a guy with some c.b. tokays and they were very very tame. not even a open mouth just as calm as can be.
