In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Nicholas Giavasis / [email protected]

People are not 'haters' as you and Nick say for disliking someone as rude, long-winded, and entitled as Nick is. He seems according to the messages here to be a decent seller, but as a buyer and even potential buyer he's been a nightmare to enough member to ne himself three or four bad guy threads... a pretty hefty number for someone clearly trying to make a name for himself (claiming to have bought over 100 animals in the last couple of months etc).

The "haters" comment was a joke. Didn't you see my winking emoticon? ;)

I have no idea how many animals he's bought over the past few months. I don't have a hard time believing that the number is over 100, because I personally guarantee you that at least 25, possibly 30 (I don't remember how many he already had), of that number were snakes that he went out and found/bought for me. At least 4 of those (my 2 male axanthics and 2 male pieds) just came in yesterday & the day before, and those are just the ones he's holding for me. He bought more for himself from that same seller.

That being said, I can't really defend him as a buyer, because I haven't sold him anything. I wasn't going to respond to these threads because of that, but I do feel obligated to add my 2 cents when appropriate because Nick has been great to us.

In the link over to bp.net; I love the mentioning of the two bp's coming in as "skin n bones." It's got me coining Nick as a super flipper... Beat 'em down for resale much Nickster... Grow your own from now on; and; take better care of your animals!!

Bunch of haters ;)

I just dealt with Nick in person a few weeks ago and have had no issues. My wife and I took about 20 hatchling BPs off of his hands and still have 15 or so more on hold. The link below is my post, and all of the hatchlings pictured there came from Nick. They're healthy and are as advertised.

http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?133663-A-few-of-my-new-babies

Also have two male axanthics on hold, as well as two male pieds. So excited!
are those 4 part of what you consider 15?

Female Albino and Male Black Pastel. Both of these guys had to be tube fed for a couple of weeks. They were skin and bones when we got them and had no energy to eat, but they're doing much much better now.

so they came in skinny, underfed, malnourished, dehydrated and AS ADVERTISED?! and you STILL took them in?

He told us before we took them that those two weren't eating, and were even spitting up force feeds. My wife has had to tube feed BPs before and Nick basically gave them to us for free so that they would have a better chance.

ALL of the 16 others we took home that day were fine.

Yep. But it's more of a "15ish" at this point. We keep adding stuff to the list and it's getting hard to keep track of.

Read my above post. I guess I should have cleared that up when I linked it.

I refuse to participate in a thread and communicate with these new members to Fauna, who have 1 post or 2 posts, FROM Colorado, who ironically have only commented in all in Nicholas Giavasis's threads that don't even seem to read the horrible things he has put others through. They come on here blindly defending him because they've dealt with him locally or possibly because he's asked them to. And they come here screaming "Haters" and disrespecting others and what they've been put through because of Giavasis.

I can't help that I live in Colorado, and why would I comment in other threads that have even less to do with me than this one?

I'm not trying to say that you didn't have a bad experience, and like I just said I can't defend him as a buyer because I haven't sold him anything. I just wanted to respond to a couple of statements that were made because my own experience differs from the image of Nick that is being formed here.

Well; we wish ya the best o luck with those two then... Scary stuff if you'd ask me..

It was scary, but we pumped those guys full of nutrients every day for a week and now they're eating on their own, which is awesome because tube feeding *sucks* and I'm getting sick even thinking about it. That female albino has doubled her weight since she stopped refusing real food.

Based on what Nick has said in e-mails to others that have been shared here...and based on what he himself has typed here...I am NO FAN of Nick's and would go out of my way to avoid doing a deal with him if I were in the market to deal. (And I'm in Colorado, btw... )

But all that being said...Nick DID say he had plenty of happy customers. And folks say "Prove it!" and "Why aren't they here posting on your behalf?"

And so Nick gets some of his happy customers to post here on his behalf. For you to then turn around and attack those happy customers and accuse them of having ulterior motives or whatever...seems rather hypocritical, at best. You ASKED for those people to step forward...and some did...but for whatever reason, they're not good enough? :shrug01: Is it only people with 1000+ post count on Fauna that are qualified to speak on someone's behalf? :NoNo:

Is it no wonder that more don't want to subject themselves to that kind of treatment just because they had a decent transaction with someone that seemed decent to them at the time?

I know this is going to sound ridiculous and hard to believe, but for what its worth Nick didn't ask me to come here (I don't know about the others). I was trying to explain to my dubious wife that buying online isn't as risky as she thinks because of this site, and we happened across these threads about Nick as I was showing her around.

Judy, I never asked for proof or support or anything in this thread. Nor did I "attack" someone. I simply stated it seemed weird that all these people are cropping up from Colorado with 1 or 2 posts that only are posting in his threads. I wasn't aware that others were asking people to come on and "support" him.

I simply posted the rude, sexist e-mails that encompassed my situation with him. After reading them, I believe in the other 3 threads they were asking people to come on and support him if he was such a good guy as he claimed in those particular threads- This thread was an inquiry posting my bad experience with him as information.

Judy I'm with you, but Nick repeated message is that he has upwards of 12 people who would gladly jump in and defend his name, some of them well-known. I know this is most likely a huge exaggeration (just as I'm sure his "buying 100s of snakes" is an exaggeration... if that's so, how did he receive all these animals, since missing work is such a huge deal to him? also as I'm sure his emails that "prove" Robert doctored something are non-existant, or why is he so hesitant to post them and instead let this drag on for weeks?), but if it were true, how does he have so many satisfied customers that would love to jump in the fray for them, and none have done so? Why is it the only two people back his name joined this month and made posts exclusively in these threads? This is by no means a small site, why have none of his supporters had accounts on it prior to his bad guy threads?

Judy and Alex I think you both made good points.
The fear factor can be huge here. After all, the whole point is to save people from scams, and alternatively to show good guys and good transactions, and there is no question people are sometimes more than forthright which can be a little unnerving to those not used to the BOI.

It is VERY important to allow people to come have their say, IMHO. Not only might they bring something new to the table, but after posting a couple times and getting their feet wet, they may join our community.

I also sometimes look askance at a bevy of newbies coming to someone's assistance who is in the hot seat. But it's all part of the mix, if someone who's in the biz doesn't have any established people to get his back, well that tells you something right there.

Sometimes grilled newbie helps the flavor of a thread, but if they know they are going to be eaten for dinner, they ain't gonna show up. Who knows, tey might be here by invite, but you can make up your own mind by looking to see if there's anyone who's been around for a while that posts along with them.

That image was FORMED BY Nick.

ALL of the 16 others we took home that day were fine.

Your numbers are a bit confusing and don't seem to add up. You bought some 20 snakes that day, 16 went home with you, there are still 15 on hold.
There are only 12 snakes in the photos and then you say you have 4 on hold.
So which is it??
Do you have 15 on hold or is it only four?
Or is it 19?
Maybe it's 4 and then 11?
If all are perfect why are there only 12 snakes with photos if you took 16 home??????

Not much adding up. So which is it?????

That was really weird the way guy with the albino acted like he was giving the person with the Columbians some sort of lesson. He seemed harbor some very thinly veiled anger over the person with the Columbians for suggesting they each pay their own shipping. That's a big red flag to me. If I was the person with the Columbians I would not have any further contact with that guy. He seems like a problem just waiting to occur. Stay away is my reccommendation.

Oh man. Nick threw in two skinny, regurgitating bp's for free? Sounds like more of a liability than a gift. That is very kind of you to take them in, seriously. Just be careful to keep them away from your healthy snakes.

Why does it matter? Are you seriously flipping out because I didn't feel like getting up to count exactly how many hatchlings I had when I wrote that first post? I notice that you conveniently didn't bold and underline the word "about". You know, that word that means "approximately" when used in that context?

And I didn't bring 16 hatchlings home that day, I brought 18 home, which is why in my second post I said "16 others". In addition to those, since you're so curious about my recent purchases, I also picked up two adult females and a male pastel.

There aren't 18 pictures in my thread on bp.net because I was just sharing my favorites. Is that okay? Or is there some higher power I'm not aware of that dictates which photos I'm allowed to post on other forums?

I changed this from private to public, but I don't know if the link works or not. The only missing hatchling picture is of my het pied female. The five pictures of the axanthic in my hand are the same female as the one in the tub, so please don't count those when you're out doing more pointless detective work.

As for what I still have on hold I'll again say "15 or so", including the 2 pieds and 2 male axanthics. Any explanation beyond that is really none of your business, nor does it pertain to this thread.
