    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Alabama Reptile Rescue Sanctuary has many snakes, lizards, and tortoises for adoption! We have 6 lovable ball pythons of various sizes and ages. Our cute juvenile red tail is growing fast. ARRS has colubrids of different color morphs from surrender or neglect cases that need a great home. Other interesting rescues need homes: Black spiny-tailed iguana, small adult Savannah monitor, color morph blood pythons, granite jv burmese, blue tongue skink, baby sulcatas tortoises, adult red foot tortoise, common boa....and the list is ever growing

If you are interested in providing a great, stable home for a needy herp, let me know. All adoption fees are tax deductable and fund the ARRS rescue.

We welcome rescues

Hello. We have 2 recued animals in our home :) A grey banded kingsnake as well as a normal morph ball python. They have their own seperate enclosures and will never be used for breeding purposes. They live the fat, happy, and lazy life! Send us a list of what you have (along with temperments if poss) of the smaller breeds of snakes you have (ball pythons & colubrids are our size limit) that need rescuing and we'll see what we can do to help!

It's so nice to see this many people willing to help :) If people would do some research before impulsive pet buying we wouldn't have to adopt these rescues, but nevertheless, we're glad we're not the only ones who care!

ARRS has an adoption fee per animal depending on the species. We try to stay competative with local breeder and pet store prices. ARRS has an adoption application and then adoption contract if approved by a majority of the board members. We do require home checks for anything large.

I'm sorry, but for a rescue they seem to have pet store pricing! $60 for a ball python??? I don't mean to sound disrespectful, it just seems some rescues start off meaningful, then turn into more of a business!

They give their time and money to help these animals. Most of these places don't make a profit they are just trying to recoup some of the money they have put into helping.
