    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hey all,

I was surfing craigslist this morning and found a female BRB for sale and thought she would be a great addition to my collection. 5' 3" and about 4-5 years old. I sent the current owner an email to see if she still had her and what she wanted. I got reply back for $20 :eek: You gotta be kidding me. This was a 'too good to be true' moment and I was gonna let it pass thinking it might have mites or a URI. After thinking about it, anyone with $20 would grab this girl and not know what to do or even notice it was sick until too late. I figured I could put it in quarantine and nurse it back to health in a worst case senario. The boss let me take off and it was only 30-40 miles away. I get there and shes beautiful! Great owners, great snake, healthy and mite free. I'll take her! I go to put her in my bag and they said wait, take everything. They gave me the light fixture, 30ish gal tank, two new bags of bedding, water bowl. I couldn't believe it. She won't stay in the tank for longer tahn tonight though. So again, thanks to owner if you're on here :thumbsup:

beautiful (a bit pudgy in fact - imo). I've found some pretty good deals on CL as well but you got to wade through a bunch of junk to find them. That is a great snag! Congrats!
 
Nice pick up. Its nice to see someone on craigslist who is actually rehoming a snake that has been taken care of. Good luck with her! Cant wait to see non cell phone pics
 
Thanks Guys and Gals! I'm hoping I have time to have her sexed today to be sure she's a lady (doesn't matter though). She sure act's like a sweet heart though. She loves to hang out and doesn't want to be put down. She's strong!!
 
$20?!? Amazing pickup! Make sure you get her a larger waterbowl soon, Brazilians love nothing so much as a good full-body soak.

Definitely! I was just pimping out her quarantine last night. She's still a little stressed from the 45 minute ride home in a car that sounds like a airplane so I haven't got a chance to take any good pictures yet. I've held a lot of strong snakes, but his one, for her size, is definitely the strongest per pound. She weighed in last night at 2291g and was really hard to keep still so I think I'm gonna give her a couple more days of relaxation.
 
A week of no handling/feeding would be ideal to let ger fully settle into her new home. At 2291 grams, she's doing well. She's heavier than either of my big females, though my largest is only about 100 grams off of that. Good luck, and please keep us posted!
 
I've got two beautiful Leopard Geckos, btoh with complete set-ups, and a Lucistic Pine snake, all for free on different occasions recently on CL... Most people are so nice. I can't believe some of the nice animals available if you just look in the right category. I love Craig's List.
 
$20?!? WOW...I can't believe it. Who and WHY would someone get ride of a beautiful animal for so little? Were they leaving the country..wow. What a deal. Bring it to a vet to be sure.
 
Found this a little late, but I sure am glad to see a Good Guy find a great deal!! Post some pics though. I'd love to see her! Congrats!!! :thumbsup:
