In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Ashley Caspillo-SakaraGT4/Sakara *Possible Buyer Beware!*

I was only given ONE page of the burm report... That's what I got from my vet was one page...

And the aspen was bought at NARBC... Here's a pic 2 days after the show when I put the aspen in there... Notice the brand new repti-rack cage I had gotten that weekend and the aspen... After that I removed the aspen and got rid of it

Brand new cages in front room...

After I noticed mites only a few days after that, I trashed the aspen and switched back to newspaper... Haven't used anything other than newspaper since then...

and no matter what, pets or whatever, they are still getting tested.

You had mites on several occasions BEFORE that..I know in Feb 09, you posted a "mites" thread and you stated earlier that "in early 08" you had mites. There was another thread around this time discussing mites.

The issue isn't where they came from, Ashley...

It's already been established by Rachel's quarantine, Kyles warning, Elizabeth's shipping bag from you containing dead mites, and previous posts from you that you HAVE HAD CHRONIC ISSUES WITH MITES, and THE MITES IN THIS CASE CAME FROM YOU.
Doesn't matter where they came from before that.

Ashley, you still have mites in your house, even if you cannot see them. If you did not, then Elizabeth AND Rachel would NOT have them. Period. One person getting them after buying from you is coincidental, but TWO people in the same time is not.

It doesn't matter HOW you got the mites. There's still an infestation going on somewhere in your home.

I am very glad to see this htread may have stopped Ashley from at least selling snakes here and on RTB.com. This is at least a step in the right direction. Everytime she post on the BOI is seems her hole gets deeper. After the refunds are made in full and no more post for a year we will all have to see what happens. IMO Casperconstrictors has sunk it's own ship by not following the procedure they seem to offer to others. What a shame. There was a nice collection of animals until a person who wanted to be known very fast jumped in and screwed it all up. I believe most breeders started out very small and tuned there skills before moving up in their buisness. Hopefully if Ashley can learn from this it will educate other on what happens when you get in over your head without thinking at all.

Ditto. That's what others have tried to instill in her, but she never grasped it.

75 pages in this thread and she seems like she might be catching on a little. I just wish she would own up to the mites as I agree with the others that mites are for sure in your collection. 2 people who bought snakes from you and both had mites. Mites generally are not found on just one animal when they are present. you would know thise if you where as smart as you come off being.

I doubt she's learned anything, considering she has yet to commit to the fact she will not be breeding while any of these animals are still a part of her collection.

She'll test this year.

Then next year.

Then what? Are you going to test every year until the animals are dead, or until you think it is safe? It won't be. Not in a collection where IBD was confirmed.

Did I not already say I was NOT going to breed? Yes, I did already say that... If I have to keep my snakes as pets for the rest of their lives, no matter how short or long, I will...

and I understand the fact that is is possible to miss inclusions even when tested... But how likely is it that it would be missed in EVERY ANIMAL?? Not very I would think...

Ashley, are you going to be able to live with caring for 20+ animals until they die (if they remain asymptomatic) for 15-20 years? You cannot sell these animals when you tire of them because of the initial IBD report, you'd have to euthanize them to get them out of the collection. That's a lot to handle.

My main point is that it has taken a lot to get Ashley to even admit to any wrong doing. There is proof of her lies and improper proceedures. I am glad to hear she will not be breeding but with how things have gone it is hard to believe her. I always judge on facts and the facts are you have mites and may have had IBD in your collection for awhile. You also stated that the original text on the BCL may not have been 100% correct which leads one to believe that there is somethiong wierd about that. If you read the bad guy thread on Mr. Dean Ashley was very straight forward about her QT proceedures and it has been shown that the BCL was not fully quarantined. The fact that she truely believed up until questioned about it, that the BCL had IBD she was still attending shows and putting others in danger for no good reason.

I have made Mr. Dean aware of this thread but I alos know that since the BCL death his or any animals I am aware of that he gave away, or whatever it was he did with them, have had any issues. There have been no post of his animals dying. Should Mr. Dean kill all the animals he has or that he gave away to friends. That is a hard on to decipher because Ashley has said the original report could have been wrong and she didn't QT the BCL correctly. Leads me to believe IBD has been in Ashley's collection before the BCL arrived he was just the first to go. Anyone agree?

yes, I could and would keep and care for all my snakes even if I couldn't do anything else with them... If I didn't want to keep them as pets, would I not just put them down now whether they tested positive or not? I refuse to do that because unless they test positive, I will not put them down... IF any do test positive, then I will put them down immediately... But if they don't, then they will not be put down unless they later test positive... Even if the animal is asymptomatic, it should test positive if it still carries the disease should it not? Sure, I understand it could be missed as it has been stated previously, but figuratively speaking, shouldn't it still test positive even if it's an asymptomatic carrier?

Did I not already say I was NOT going to breed? Yes, I did already say that...
.

NO..actually in your "STATEMENT" you said
I am still not going to breed my animals this year... I will not be doing any expos this year... I was told to wait a year from the last death... Which, if you go based off of the BCL, it HAS been a year... But since my burm died in May, even though she and no others showed inclusions, I will still wait... *SNIPPED*.

We also plan in the near-ish future, to build an outside snake building... Keeping the boas and pythons in separate rooms in the building... Whether it be for breeders or just for pets, we still plan to do it...

Since you have pretty much just told people what they wanted to hear, and not the truth all along, and you made this statement, I'm inclined to believe you still FULLY intend on breeding your snakes.

believe what you like, but I am not.

The last statement you quoted means that whether I ever breed snakes again or not, we will still be building a snake building outside... And it's not only for the snake perspective, it's also so that we don't have to use a room in our house for the snakes and can have a place that is JUST for the snakes...

Asymptomatic carriers often do not test positive. The tests are geared to determine those that have the virus active. Asymptomatic carriers are just that, carriers. They are not active.

It's like HIV vs. AIDS.

Also? The odds of all of them testing negative is very much a possibility, especially when it comes to the boas.

Now, this is largely speculation based on ... well, everything we have here ...

As for Dean's collection. I do not think the BCL actually had the IBD, I actually think Ruby did. Regardless, Dean's collection should be on lockdown too.

Ruby came from a questionable background.

BCLs are stressful animals compared to BCI, especially as babies.

IBD also destroys juveniles much faster than adults so it is very plausible he contracted it when he came to Ashely's and died soon thereafter from stress activating it.

Ruby came in before the BCL. She died relatively soon after the BCL. Pregnancy causes immense strain on any animal. Stress is a key activator in IBD. Pyrometra just happening in a boa is virtually unheard of. If you do not believe me, put it in any search engine. The only results that show up for boas, are the threads you posted regarding Ruby's death.

I would have liked to see her actual necropsy report. I was also wondering why the pics of her necropsy did not show her uterus specifically.

I am in no way standing up for Ashley in my next comment but just wanted to let everyone know. On Dec.23, 2010 Casperconstrictors has put on their site that all breeding has been stopped and that more info should be available soo. I also think they should add something about all the snakes they have sold and see if thay can get in contact with at least a few of them. That is better than nothing.

Ashley I know you lost your external HDD but if you call your vet where you had the necropsies performed they can give you exact copies of the reports. Even the addendum that's missing for the Burm.

Shadow, I think that you can see her uterus in the pics... And I believe I have a pic of the uterus holding the ova before my vet cut it open... I will re-look though...

I will have to call him on Monday... I could call NW Path for the addendum on the burm... I'm sure they would still have it... I don't know if my vet does because he didn't do the path... They sent it to my vet and my vet called me and then sent me the report... The report looks to be an original and not a copy...

I can bs on that jamp not being handleable, and u would also like to know why you lied and said that he was a 6 time proven breeder when I clearly told you that he was only bred twice
