Just so everyone knows, I am no longer responding to Nicole via email. If she chooses to continue to email me, it will be posted and replied to on this site.

Received the below response from Nicole last night. She continues sending me emails as if they are generated by Steven. I spoke with Steven directly and he is not involved in this. The woman has issues. I posted his number several pages back. I urge anyone to call him to verify his involvement but I think at this point there is no doubt.

Nicole, please understand I am not a "desperate little man". I have publicly stated I want nothing from you. My sole purpose for posting on here is to prevent others from making the same mistake I did in purchasing an animal off of you. The vet bills show Akira's name, it is covered by the receipt. I used my camera to take pictures of the receipts and pointed out the necessary info. I will scan full copies in to prove this. Another argument you lose.

Discrediting other breeders is now my intent? Your name was already mud when I posted this so please dont try to insinuate that I am trying to discredit you. You do a fine job of that on your own! I also mentioned every other breeder I dealt with has been a great experience in my initial post. Dachiu, G&M Dragons, Diamond Den, Phantom Dragons, Rio Reptiles, Baltimore Beardies and Jeane from River City. Jeane, who you readily bad-mouthed during our first conversation back in November. Something about a dragon you purchased from her who died 8 months later of cancer and felt she should be responsible for. Hmmm, 8 months in your care and you felt you were owed compensation... yet a dragon arriving visibly sick on my end and it isnt your responsibility. Wow.

As mentioned time and time again, the dragon was delivered sick. This is not a husbandry issue on my part. All my other animals are healthy.

First I have heard of where newspaper is being frowned upon as a substrate. I would think reptile carpet would create a breeding ground for germs since you can't simply wipe off the feces and sterilize the spot.

Below is the cut/paste of my phone calls and texts from 12/5 and 12/6. Hmmm, I dont seem to find the call where I demanded the dragon be sent or I wanted my money back. Also cant seem to locate the call on 12/6 where we spoke at 10am about the shipment. Please don't use information from a prior conversation and twist it into this one. I told you before the original 12/1/10 ship date my wife worked from home.

I have been able to provide proof to counter every accusation you have made. You still try and act like you are Steven when that has been exposed. You have pointed your fingers in every direction but at yourself. My facilities, heat packs. There will come a time when realization creeps in and you will understand that you cannot continue to argue or lie your way out of a situation and maybe it is best to let it drop.

On a side note, I'm guessing Misery is your favorite movie.

I find it interesting how you can sit there and tell tales. You seem like a very desperate little man.You never spoke to Nicole you have always spoken to me. The vet bills prove only one thing, that you took a dragon to the vet. It does not prove you took Akira for all I know you took your sick one. My vet's always put the Dragons name, color, gender, and length on records they even do this with dogs and cats.

You and I know you weren't sent a sick dragon. We think the reason behind this is as you stated, you are trying to build a breeders platform and to discredit other breeders is good for you. How many more breeders are on your hit list? Why would you tell stories [ that is what these tales amount to ] about someone you actually know nothing about. My facility is modern, the tanks are clean. they contain bowls and basking platforms with proper lighting. All of our dragons are fed a healthy diet of greens and feeders including Horn Worms, Silks Worms, Super Worms, Roaches, Phoenix Worms, and Crickets.

We have sold many dragons and not once have we ever had a complaint of any type regarding health. We do find it concerning you are keeping Akira in a tank on a piece of newspaper with a rock she can't even bask on. Was that rock and tank sterilized first? You can get repti carpet or tiles cheap, and a basking platform will run you $9-$15.

We find it very depressing that you would use the BOI for your own gain and not that of the dragon. It seems that you have trouble handling your own mistakes. Also you where contacted 12/5/10 to pick a shipping date, and you demanded that we ship Akira or you wanted your money back. You where very insistant about this.. You where fully notified that if this was the route you wanted to take you had no Guarantees on the dragon. You where then contacted 12/6/10 around 10:00 AM to confirm you would be home for delivery. You said that your wife would be home to take delivery and get her settled in her tank. To sit there and say you where never notified is just plain, dumb.

On a good note we are adopting two new policies because of what you have implied. First, all communications will be by email so we have documentation of everything. Second, If anyone ever acts as you did demanding shipping we will refuse them the dragon and refund their money.

I'm not a beardie person at all, but I suspect you hit it in on the head with the comment that "Sticole" rofl needed to sell and ship that dragon FAST, before its illness became even more apparent. So laziness and poor husbandry ultimately result in one or two animals getting sick? Better sell 'em quick. That kind of M.O. could account for most, if not all, of Nicole's Bad Guy threads. Disgusting.

LOL!! well, i would like to say good job on mike's part for taking in the dragon and taking care of it as well as for bringing this all to light. i have never bought from Nicole, i don't intend to, and will stay away from sellers how associate with her. Why, because she can clearly be seen pulling the strings. It was her own words, or "Steven's", saying she wasn't making an effort to change the person who she is or her business practices which is why she wasn't supposed to be working with customers. Yet it was Nicole answering the phones?

I am sorry, Mike, you had to find out about Nicole like this. I do hope that Akira is doing better. I personally never had to work on treating internal parasites so i don't know what you are going through. I have dealt with severe external parasites working in cali, mostly mites and once ticks. I am sure that you have already gone above and beyond to take care of Akira and should you need it, we are here to help. Also good call on deciding to sell of your stock of bearded dragons instead of risking a possibility of neglect when your baby was born.

Nicole come off your horse and stop pretending to be someone you are not. Even though you are trying to stay away from your signature comments it is still plain to see who is typing. From what we have learned from people who have actually spoken to Steven he is to the point, no beating the bush. You however love to embellish what you write. Who, short of an author, would call someone a "very desperate little man"? Also, if you truly cared about any of the dragons you have sold you would take this very seriously. Yes back yourself and your practice up but never blame the customer. So Mike got it on the 7th and complained within a few days does it matter? Yes stress can cause parasites to break out that is why we quarantine but if you look here many breeders at least try to help out if this happens and still offer some kind of refund to cover what their customer is going through. You have just thrown it out the window and while the offer for a new dragon after it hatches was nice it does not help your customer currently. He bought an adult bearded dragon from you. You offer a baby when it is old enough to be sold as a replacement. That is going to be another 2 to 3 years before it will be up to par for the "healthy" female you sold him and it is supposed to be equal to what he has spent? If you are looking at it like a business first you shipped an unhealthy bearded dragon. Now he has spent money on it that he shouldn't have had to. To help fix it, instead of letting him pick another adult female or refunding his money you are going to make him wait for another bearded dragon and wait for it to grow up when colors can change, either fade or grow stronger. Who would want to take that chance from someone who has already shown unacceptable apathy to a bearded dragon that was previously in their care? I might just be starting out but i keep in touch with those who i have sold my bearded babies to. Just before the holidays i sent an e-mail to make sure that everything was good and that the bearded dragons i sent them were still healthy. They bought them back in early nov. this all happened this month and your customer is still not happy. Usually a threat about a posting on the BOI is enough to set people by their ears and fix the situation. At least those who really care about their good name. Here you just pick and choose which battle to fight with no real solution just pointing fingers and name calling.

Save what little could be saved of your name and give the man his refund. No good will come of this thread for you unless you give the man a refund and apologize.

Hot spots are 102 -105 degrees and cool area are in the mid 80's. See Nicole, Maybe its your cheaper wood cages, that doesnt allow you to hold the heat. Its like a un-insulated house against a insulated house. In the winter it needs the heat running 24/7 to stay warm, and in the summer it needs the a/c running more than a insulted house. While your running 50-100 watt heat bulbs in each cage, I am running one 25 watt heat bulb in the bottom cage and the rest are 15 watts. And I am not having any respiratory problems. An my electric bill, well cha ching! The cages heat my whole apt. I dont ever have to use the heat. Except at night time.
Tehe, you dont like my newspaper? You must know as much about newspaper substrate, as you do about bearded dragons.
First off newspaper ink, is well NON TOXIC. But I am sure you knew that and have went over that with Aaron. Also with newspaper, when a dragon goes to the bathroom on it, it is removed from the cage and under the "bathroom stain" is the cage floor, where it is wiped down with a disinfectant. Now Thats pretty darn clean if you ask me. Its not like i am sifting threw sand is it? When your using a substrate like that and sifting. not all the poo and bacteria gets cleaned, some of it falls back into the cage. Where it is continued to be "cooked in 100 degree temps. AND your carpet at the bottom of the cage. Is nothing more than a breeding ground for bacteria and germs. No wonder your dragons are in bad shape.
Your "basking platform" Is NOT needed. It is nice to watch them run jump and play (as my babies do have 1 (one) item of cage furniture.) FOR the adults(nicole if you were a real breeder you would know this) But all that "fancy, look at me" cage furniture Is another breeding ground for germs and bacteria. When they go poo on the half logs, you really think your getting those thing cleaned like they should be? NO, your not! AND cage furniture only gets in the way of breeding adults. If your temps are correct, you will be fine without them. The only time I suggest a "rock" as it draws and holds heat, is when a dragon has a respiratory (this was the info I had given Mike when he was telling me about the problems with your ADULT dragon.) .. Its almost common sense to ANY breeder!

I've gotten several boas from Rick.... Each and every one was flawless. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him.... but Nicole... I wouldn't buy squat from you. The difference is Rick cares for his animals... you care about $$$ nothing more.

My guess is the reason you refused a return is because you knew the animal had problems to begin with and you didn't want it back in your collection.
