I just stumbled on this thread while I'm waiting for my Ambien to kick in so I can go night-night. I have to say it is so unfortunate most Christians we hear from are not good representatives of the Christ I have read about. I consider myself a poor excuse for a Christian most of the time, but hey, I'm trying. The Christ I have read about did not like fakers and could read their hearts like you are reading this text. He never hurt anyone, but performed many miracles the physicians of the day could only charge their fees on and say sorry, but there's nothing more we can do. He told us to pray for our enemies, and not insult them, or worse, try to hurt them in any way. He loved the meek and the innocent ones of this world with a special love almost like one must feel when they are saying goodbye to a parent whose place will soon be vacant. He also always knew a concise way to say something that would leave everyone speechless and ready to contemplate for hours on what was spoken by Him, such as "You have judged her correctly, now he who is without sin may cast the first stone".
Yep, there is definitely something wrong with most Christians out there now days, and sadly, I must admit of more than a few times where I was ashamed of myself for even thinking of claiming to be a follower of the Prince of Peace. The only cure I have been able to find is actually reading and studying the bible, both the OT and NT, and praying for wisdom. I think if everyone would spend just 15 minutes each day contemplating the crucifixion, we would find a lot more love in the world and be more likely to be passive rather than aggressive.
Well, my Ambien is telling me despite all my broken bones now with arthritis, and the inability to get comfortable at all, it is going to finally help me sleep for a little while and hopefully dream of a time coming soon when the voice of the archangel shouts, the skies roll up like a scroll, and all the great men and women of this world shout for the rocks to fall on them in order to hide from the face of He who sits on the throne.
If you want to learn why Sunday is the Mark of the Beast, what the number 666 really represents (Vicarious Filii Dei), how death is really a sleep, why the Titanic sank the year before the Federal Reserve Act was passed (since Jacob Astor drowned with the ship, and he was all that stood in JP Morgan's way), why our government now has no protestant judges in the supreme court, what happened in 1815 at the council of Vienna that set the stage for the demise of the USA, and how that demise is now coming to fruition, then please feel free to PM me, and I will show you what the last decade of studying history and scripture has shown me. I don't light a lamp, and then shove it under a bed. Good night all.
