    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey guys, How do I make sure that I have a "preview photo" on my classified ad? I posted one earlier and when it shows up in the threads it doesnt have a photo to the side, but some of my other ads do. Just trying to figure it out. Thanks!!

If you are hosting your pics somewhere else that will happen. You need to attach the pic when you post the ad. When you are typing out your ad, scroll down to where it says, Manage attachments. You have to upload them to the Fauna data base, and there is a size limit. Try it and see what happens.

The preview photo is the first one attached as above.

Yes, that is correct, so you really only need to upload ONE image for it to appear as a thumbnail. Just make sure to pick your best one.

Ah, well I have on image attached in the thread, but it doesnt come up in the preview. Its alright though I suppose. I was just trying to figure out why that particular one didnt come up with one, while the rest did. Thanks guys!

It may be the TYPE of image. To play it safe, only use JPG images.

The JPG image you used for your dwarf pixie ad shows as a preview/thumbnail; the BMP file in the adult milksnake ad does not.

Thank you. I believe it was a file type issue... it was a bitmap, showed up in the ad.. but not on the preview.. i used a jpeg on another, and it showed up on the preview.. so I believe that was what was wrong. Thanks!!

Yes, I believe you are correct, I'd had issues with bitmap files before not showing or not attaching, jpgs always seem to work.
:thumbsup:
