Not saying anything regarding the hot hands or the packing job, but wanted to comment about reptile heat packs. In my experience, they do not last as long as they say they will. At least half the shipments I recieved back when I used to have a bigger collection were ice cold when they arrived with a dead heat pack. Now this time around, all 3 of my snakes were shipped to me, from 3 different people in different areas of the country. All 3 arrived cold with dead heat packs, even though the heat packs were the 40-hour and 60-hour ones. In my experience, they either run out of oxygen to keep fueling the chemical reaction, or the person doesn't really work them and let them heat to full capacity before putting them in the box. Just my $.02.
