Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see a scammer or thief here. I'm sure several people here have had a car repo'd or couldn't make a payment on their credit card. The collections companies don't brand you as such. This appears to be a guy that can't pay his bill and I feel this is too soon. I think if he was out to scam he would have took all the snakes from the get-go. Hopefully he will be on tonight.

I posted that in Hell to try and avoid it ever coming to the BOI. I have been friend's with Chris for many years. He is extremely busy right now, and didn't have the time to post it on the BOI, so I posted in Hell to try and get some resolution that way. The post was removed by Nick, and he also gave me 2 infraction points for posting BOI material in Hell. When I told Chris that I got infraction points, he decided to make the time to post it in the BOI. So, I'm glad you brought that up, and it's clear you didn't have a clue as to why. I'm trying to help here, whick is more then I can say for you.

Then please come with something substantial rather than shoddy investigation that only leads people to believe something that may be incorrect. He may very well be a thief, but don't lead others to believe so under false pretences.

Ok I may have some light to shed on the matter I was asked to politely ask members of Fauna to keep Deans Family out of this Ie his Wife and children if any with that being said Im going to post a screen shot of what I was recently informed Now it may or may not be the truth but it may answer some questions It does make a little sense but I know its still far from right communication should have been throughout the deal

So Dean May not have a Phone where internet is easy to use and he may not have internet accsess either Im unsure of either and HATE to jump the gun by comming to conclusions that may be false I have to slighty agree with Nick that the sale was a little pushy but Still Dean is his own man and can make his own choices he could have declined the offer if he know or thought he wouldn't be able to afford it... at least he could/should of tried to stay and keep you in the loop ( you being Chris ) then at least you know whats going on and know your not being scammed... or having a fast one pulled over you eyes I honestly Hope this comes out and has a decent ending to the situation where both parties involved come out better but only time shall tell us that... I agree I was just simply sharing what I have found and what was told to me. I do know that Christina Wise said similar saying's and I hope that Dean/Sonny hasn't came to that low and things do work out I'll even owe Dean an apology then by that time as well Im sure But like you I doubt seeing him comming here although if its true what I found I can understand how that would take a toll on someone and have there mind elsewhere ( Yes not a perfect nor good excuse at all ) Maybe this thread will be a Wake up call o Dean to know to always keep your head up and tackle things one at a time I dont Know

Perhaps the cool voice of reason might suggest that judgment within ourselves could be suspended for a day or two, to allow Dean to come here, speak for himself, and hopefully pay some money to the OP. This is true, I had a situation 2 years ago when a breeding loan went south and I called the police. I had all proof of ownership, photos, receipts, etc, for all snakes involved and the police escorted me to get my animals back from the person who stolen them. I think it depends on the situation. This was a local situation, so if you were local you might have more luck just going and retrieving your animals you sold to him, if they were even still there :/

Actually, I wouldn't take them back even if he offered. I have a closed collection and haven't brought an animal in here for several years. All of my breeders were raised up from babies. There's no telling what an animal may "pick up" while it's in someone elses care.

Also, OP, from what I read in those emails, it almost seems like you were pushing these snakes on someone that obviously couldn't afford them. That should have been your first clue not to sell them to him.

Second, can you go more into this 90-day payment plan and what the details were? It doesn't appear that it's been 90 days since he has had the snakes.

I'm not coming to his defense, I just would like to see this actually get solved rather than 1368546216 people coming in and bashing the guy before he is even given 24 hours to reply. This is the same courtesy any of you guys would ask for.

Well I definitely went out of my way to make this work for him. If he couldn't afford them, all he had to say was....."no thanks".

All the details are in the e-mails. When you tell someone you've mailed out a money order for $900 and will be sending another for $500-$600 on Tuesday and you never sent or send anything... Come on man.

I would never ask for this "courtesy". I'd never be in this situation. I'd pay for what I bought and if something truly did come up, I'd certainly keep the seller 100% updated as to what's going on. Not just cease all communication after a series of lies.

Especially mentioning activities that may have had NOTHING to do with him.

Nick... part of the payment plan was Dean was supposed to put down a deposit payment on the animals. That has not happend. Who cares if it hasn't been the full 90 days. Considering I was in somewhat of the same boat as the OP.... I FULLY understand his reasoning. Dont believe me.... I finally had to burn someone on here I considered a friend at the time.
