In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Really why all the different names with same morph?

If someone is lucky enough to prove out a new morph I woud think they would have every right in the world to name it as they wish. As far as the combos ( spider butter pastel ect ) yeah it may get a little carried away, but if someone is the first to do so I can understand why they would lay claim to it. As far as what appear to be existing morphs shipped in from africa, I think anything imported should be considered " new blood " and for what may be a completely different bloodline I think they have every right to tag their name to it. But this is just my opinion.

we ALL know that when your male albino produces a clutch youll rename the morph to "HAH! HAH! I FINALLY GOT YOU!!!" Steve :rofl:

I believe that would be called the "Invisi-ball"

get it? cuz you can't see it!!!

the binos need to eat before they can breed.. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Seriously though.. Some of the names are rediculous.. but some of them are different.. yes, some pairings make the same "morph".. but you can usually tell them apart.. a white snake with blue eyes? why yes, but you can often tell a difference.. not to mention a super cinni and a super black pastel look different, etc etc

You may want to stop and think about why the same morph could have different names. Yes, some of the names are all about egos and such. But consider this: You import a morph or a dinker and find it's genetic. Okay, cool, you have your very own morph and you get to name it, so you do. After several more years of breeding, you come to realize that your "new" morph is actually just a different line of an existing morph. Well, now what? You've been selling your morph under your own name. Do you just suddenly start calling your morph by the existing name? You can do that, most certainly, but people are going to be very confused. Sometimes it's good to know what "line" a morph is from. Axanthics are good examples of this. There are four lines of Axanthic (VPI, NERD, TSK, Joliff), but only two are compatible with each other, so it's good to know what line of Axanthic one has. You mentioned there are some compatible Ghosts and some that aren't; ergo, it would be a bad idea to just start calling all of the ones that look the same Ghosts.

Besides, just because it looks the same doesn't mean it actually is. Again, Axanthics are a good example of this. Butters and Lessers may be the same morph...or they may not be. Yes, they both produce BELs, but so do other morphs that look nothing like Lessers or Butters (take a look at Mojaves and Mochas...and Phantoms, since Phantom x Lesser = BELs too). The only way we could know for certain whether they are truly the same morph or not would be to sequence their genome. What if we start calling them all Lessers (or Butters), and come to find out, down the road, they each react differently with a certain morph. Now what? Now we all have to prove out our Lessers/Butters to see which one we have!

Yes, some people are full of themselves. Yes, there can be several different names for the same thing. Some people use different names for the same combo...but I can't think of one off the top of my head that has more than two different (commonly-used) names, and two isn't exactly hard to keep track of (and if it is...then use Google; it's your friend). Don't like it? Well, I don't know what to tell ya. :shrug01: I will tell you, though, that whining about it will do nothing to change it. It's okay for the naming schemes people use to confuse and/or irritate you; it does many people. But your post does come across as sounding like a whiny n00b, which is why some people responded the way they did.

lies!!!!!!!!!! im gunna run that pic threw an exif viewer and out you as a photo shopper!:rofl:

Ok, so you get to name your "special" morph. Who is going to know who named it in a year? Who will care? Who named the "lesser" and the 'butter"? Some morphs I can't tell apart, some I can. I can tell if it is a pied or a Mojave or an albino. Does someone have a list that says so and so named this type of snake a Pastel?

I name all my snakes. Most are "yo, poop a lot" or "hey, beauty" or "Dang nab it just EAT!" None of them answer to their names :D

BTW I love your snake.

I saw a purple albino retic at an expo and had to have one...I saw a blue eyed leucistic ball python and had to have one....fader gene...hidden gene woma...makes no difference to me what they call it...I have no problems with any of that...for some it's the love of the animal for some it's a blood sport...I can't change any of that or say that im right and your wrong...what I care about is the lack of fellowship and the fact that government agency's are trying to take what I love.....stop all the mudslinging and band together or they will take it all...
