In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Dean Stemple Strictly Exotics BAD GUY!

I agree

There are scum bags out there who have been in this industry for years. Some of them wholesale their animals, so you never even know where they go. Some flippers will buy from anyone if the price is right. How do you think Capone stays in business?

There are still more good guys than bad guys, but sometimes it's hard to tell.

Good question, Dave! Where are the snakes? Where are all of Dean's & Reagan's animals?

Dean says he's in a motel. The house he & Reagan were renting has no electricity, so I would assume she and the kids are somewhere else. I hope to god the Stemple's herps were NOT left in a house with no electricity. They have gliders, too, right?

As for what is tied up in the divorce, OK follows "equitable distribution" laws. That doesn't mean property is divided 50/50 - it means that generally if a couple cannot reach a settlement on property (and debt distribution), then the Court will do so in an "equitable" fashion for them; the Court decides what is fair.

The snakes in question here have not been paid for - seems to me BOTH parties should be responsible for the debt incurred; Dean because he entered into the agreement with Chris and Reagan for deceiving Dean and allowing him to think it was a wise and timely purchase, when in fact she was just playing along, knowing it was not a good idea with a divorce forthcoming.

Good to see there was communication ... sucks that Chris may never see a dime for his goodwill.

Thanks guys...err...girls.

Small update. Dean texted me asking for my mailing address and I texted it back to him.

Dean at 3:03
Text of an address to send too

Me at 4:00
My mailing address is

I posted all of our texts on the BOI so everyone can see what's going on.

Alright, that's all for now. I want to say thanks again to everyone for all the support, both in here and through PMs. You guys(and girls!) are awesome!

Please do keep us informed on how things turn out hopefully Dean's being truthful and is going to make this right

The reason I asked if they were tied up in divorce is because if they are I was wondering why. Dean hasn't paid anything for the snakes. While it is true that they should share responsibility for the debt, the snakes or any profit from their sale should not be split between them at all. Whether it is 30/70, 50/50, it is wrong. Nothing was paid for the snakes, so Chris should get 100% of the money, or 100% of the snakes. If Dean still has the snakes, why can't he send them back to Chris? Is it because lawyers think he sent payments of $900 and $500 to Chris, and therefore the snakes are his and Reagans? I wonder if Reagan though the snakes were paid for.

Just to confirm a couple things:

1) If Dean did, in fact, forget his password, he would not be able to get a new one if his email is no longer valid. The password help system sends the information to the email provided at registration.
2) The email Dean used here - [email protected] - is no longer active. I had a friend send a quick email last night, and it bounced back tonight with the standard MAILER-DAEMON message
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<[email protected]>:
Sorry, I couldn't find any host by that name. (#4.1.2)
I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.

3) The comment I made earlier - regarding posting messages for other members that were choosing not to post for themselves - was more from me than my moderator persona. I'm sure that most of the people that intervene in that manner do so with the best of intentions (and there are probably a few instances when it is legitimately necessary)...but, I pretty much feel that if a member wants to make a comment, it is best that they do it themselves for several reasons.

4) Having been surprised by a "spouse" leaving suddenly, I can attest to the potential for it to wreak financial havoc...and that is on top of the emotional and psychological impact. It doesn't excuse the things that led to this thread...but I can certainly feel some compassion for what Dean is going through. (I'm not without understanding of Reagan's side of things...but at least she had the advantage of knowing in advance and making plans.)

5) I've also had people I thought I could trust stiff me for substantial amounts of money, so I definitely know where Chris is coming from....hopefully he will get his money in the not too distant future.

I looked into what a person can do with the eamil associated with their web site. An account holder can disable their own email account if they want to. If an account holder disabled their email, you would get the same message.

Actually you wouldn't. You would get a similar message, but not that exact message.
The line that said
Sorry, I couldn't find any host by that name. (#4.1.2)

Means the domain is invalid, not just that email address. That is to say strictlyexotics.net is no longer functioning period. The domain name is still registered, but it doesn't point to anything. It's essentially parked.

I'm not defending Dean, I'm just correcting a mistaken assumption. It's true, the account holder can do whatever they like with any email addresses attached to their domain, but merely deleting or disabling an account on an otherwise functioning domain will not generate that specific error.

This simply is not true. It has never been the policy of Fauna that you may have only one user name and the rest are banned. There are always other justifying causes when we ban multiple user accounts.

The reasons usually entail some sort of deceit as to why multiple user accounts are banned.

Who made this rule and when?

Every person I've ever seen who got caught using a different user name, had that name banned. So I thought you could only have one user name. So, are you saying that we can have more then one user name? Or as many user names as we want. I just might make up a few more myself.

We don't encourage multiple user accounts. Some of the time when someone registers a new account it's for a deceitful purpose. Such as hiding their true identity or to escape negative feedback. Those have justifiable reasons to be banned.

People sometimes change from using a regular screen name to a business names or loss access to their account. Sometimes people come back after some time not remembering their old log in information and start new accounts. They aren't simply banned for this reason.

Nothing against the rules of doing such. There are better ways such as getting in contact with Rich and restoring access to your lost account information. Your new account simply will not be banned because you forgot how to log into in old account.

Or as many user names as we want. I just might make up a few more myself.

If your only intent is to take up server space with multiple user names that serve no purpose but to make some sort of point, I would probably address it harshly.

In this case Dean can simply get into contact with Rich. He can easily do so by contacting him by the other email address that we know is his and have his password reset. Seems like an easy fix.

Now that I think about it, most of the people I have seen get a different user name banned was because they had problems (negativity) with their original. How often do we really see someone start up a whole new user name? I don't even recall it. I have seen on rare occasions, a user having Rich change their name, but not start all over totally with a new name. That must be why I thought a second name would get banned.

I remember where Dean said had a different user name prior to the Strickly Exotics one. Supposedly it was due to him not remembering the password.

If this has already been covered I apologize (I have not been sleeping well as of late). If the electric was in Reagan's name then why didn't Dean just get it turned on in his? Then the next questions is why was it in her name to begin with? Why can't he have it turned on in his name? Does he have problems getting credit? Is not paying his bills something that is normal for him? :shrug01:

At this point in time, I wouldn't believe a word Dean says. I think he was just making up a lie about the imaginary money orders. Anyone can have power turned on in their name, as long as you haven't screwed over the power company. Even if you had to give some kind of a deposit, you can still get power. I'm sure if he did have to give a deposit, it would have been less then 900 bucks. Also, his parents only live a few minutes away. They could of put the power in their name to give him a hand. Until Chris starts getting money from Dean, I won't believe he's going to pay.

When I lived with my roomate years ago, It was my apartment and the power was in his name. He didn't pay it for three months before he took off. The power company would not let me turn it on in my name until I paid his balance because I lived there.

When my daughter Katey-aka The_Devil_Spawn-or some such, wanted to join,I gave Big Meanie a head's up to let him know that she wanted to join, but would be using the same ISP (from the same house, but different computers), so he knew it wasn't me making a second account.

He okay-ed it and appreciated that I came to him before she signed up. Otherwise, she may not have been allowed to sign up.

So-there are times when a second account is allowed from the same ISP.

I had the same situation. The roommate moved out after we realized that we were behind 3-4 months because he was using the money that was supposed to go to the electric company for personal use. The electric company made us fax over a copy of the lease and because he was still on it, we had to pay the bill before they'd turn us back on.

NOT that electric or anything of the sort is an excuse for this situation. I'm just as guilty as the next person when it comes to drooling over great deals and beautiful snakes. However - if the money isn't in the bank when the deal is on the table, the deal should be passed over.

I just cannot imagine having a family that has costs of its own and 'spending' that amount of money if it wasn't there in the first place. :shrug01:

Similar comments have been made, but the premise isn't the same. I don't know if Dean had an actual storefront, but I believe he said he was working toward that...this wasn't a case of somebody wanting purchasing snakes for himself, he was purchasing snakes for resale. To that end, one has to spend money to make money - if you don't buy snakes, you have none to sell.
Also, if what Reagan said is true, he wasn't anticipating being in his current position...I suspect that if Dean was giving his all to this venture, he was relying heavily on her income; not just for household bills, but probably to keep things going from a business perspective, as well.

That part aside, Dean did state several times that he didn't have the money. He didn't do it in a way that firmly shut down the talks, but he did say it. The sale was convenient for Chris - the fact that he was moving, combined with his previous transactions with Dean, probably made him a little too eager to make it happen. I'm not trying to lay anything on Chris' shoulders, but I've been there...and the situation scarily similar. As an outsider, it is easy to point out that sometimes we make bad choices; and I think Chris made one here. If someone doesn't have the money, sometimes it's best to accept that and go for Plan B. Making it work looked like a win/win for Chris, right up until it looked like he was losing. Again - I've been there. Made it work because it was easy for me...I knew the guy, we'd done plenty of deals in both directions...and I never saw a penny of the money from that last deal.

I'd like to think that Dean isn't going to leave this like that; but time will tell.
