    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So we finally had a break of warmer weather, and my girl was able to be shipped and arrived this morning! I'm sooooooooo excited to finally have her here and see her in person! I just wish I had a decent actual CAMERA, instead of having to rely on my Blackberry for pics, because no matter what light I use, it makes it dim. :ack2: Oh well, here's the best I could get!

She has a really unique neck/head/face -- the white is pinkish purple like a lavendar albino, and the orange spreads all over her nose, heat pits, mouth, the top of her head, etc. Her eye bands are broken off at the back of her head. She's just awesome:

Thanks all! I wish I could catch her color better. You can tell she has nice contrast in these pics, but she really is as deep orange and crisp white as the pictures from her ad showed. Now just to get her settled and get a first meal into her. This is gonna be a looooooooooong wait to get her raised up. :ack2:

And unfortunately her brother got sold before she got shipped, so I couldn't get him. :(

Wow, can you imagine the patterned babies out of those two? I love her pattern. Very pretty snakes!
 
He's 50% possible het for albino. He was produced by John Quinones, but he never bred him back to any hets or visuals to prove whether he carries it or not, so I'll get first crack at it. If he is, then I'll be totally stoked because it'll skip quite a few steps and I'll hopefully get some nice reduced pattern albinos in the first clutch they throw. Then it's just a matter of continuing to clean up the pattern (more blushing, solid sides, banding, etc) and darken the contrast with other bloodlines -- Deb Northern's extreme high contrast albinos are what I want to breed into it, they are INSANE. Google "Northern Regius Albino" and you'll see what I mean. Regardless of whether he's a het though, this is a long term project, because I really want to develop a line of defined, clean, true high contrast albinos. It really bugs me that the "high contrast" label gets slapped on just about every albino out there, when it doesn't really apply to most of them at all. This is a project I wanted to do from the first day I got into ball pythons years ago, as albinos have been and always will be my favorite morph, and they will always be popular with hobbyists and pet keepers. I had started to build up the animals I needed for this project the first time I kept ball pythons, and my female albino was almost breeding size when she passed away -- I had raised her up from a tiny 2-month-old hatchling and was SO proud of her. Honestly though, I can say that this time around I think I ended up with even better examples to work with in terms of the project itself (although I miss my original albino girl very much, she was my first morph and very special to me), so for that I am thankful and looking forward to seeing this through. Oddly enough the person I got my co-dom reduced pattern pair from the first time around is the same person I got this reduced pattern albino girl from, so things happen certain ways for a reason I guess.

So far this girl is off to a great start -- she already took 2 fat mouse crawlers for me! I think she's already becoming my boyfriend's favorite, as she's in quarantine at his apartment and he has all the time in the world to handle her and watch her behavior when he's home. He has never owned snakes, just other reptiles, so this is new for him and he was stunned when he saw her in person. Was itching to get her out of the deli cup. LOL! And as soon as my tax refund gets here, I am buying a camera so I can get much better pics! :thumbsup:
