In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'd really love to see this classified forum split into two. I'm not interested in corns, but I like a lot of other rat snakes. I don't usually go to that forum though because usually it's so flooded with cornsnake ads I don't want to bother having to carefully scan through pages of cornsnakes to see what other ratsnake classifieds might be caught between them...

Just a suggestion!

You could always just search in that section of the classifieds for what species you are looking for as opposed to going through page by page.

It looks like she is aware that they are a type of rat snake. However, there certainly are not as many "morphs" of the other rat snakes as there are of corns. I could see the utility of having separate classified sections for someone not interested in red rats.

True, but there are several non-cornsnake ratsnakes which I have interest in, so it would be rather tedious to have to search for individual species.

And yes, I understand cornsnakes are a type of ratsnake :) They just happen to be the most popular and with the largest number of morphs, so I think they really deserve a classifieds section of their own.

Truth of the matter is that the number of ads for ratsnakes other than corns does not justify a separate section for them.

The search function is your friend.

Out of curiosity, Misty, what species are you looking for?

I used to wish for a split between the rats and corns classifieds (or old and new world rats) but Rich is right, the ad volume doesn't justify it.

Yeah that is true, sadly there probably isn't enough non-cornsnake ratsnake ads to fill another forum for them.

timebider: Rhinos, trans pecos, trinket, green trinkets, and mandarins are all on my favorites list!
I'm not actively in the market for all of those, but I like to look and see who has what for future reference :)

I asked because I work with several species of Asian rats. Of the ones on your list, I have mandarins and rhinos, but both projects are still in the early stages. The only Asians I'm producing consistently now are Mocquard's, Coxi, cave-dwellers, and radiateds; but I think/hope I'm going to get lucky with my red-tailed green rats, laticinctus, and Moells this season. :D

I think the Asian rat market will get better as more people look for new project challenges and learn more about the various species...and some are "legislatively deterred" from keeping larger species like burms...

Got this picture and would like to post...

so over a year later and im pretty sure with an entire new group of morphs and a large number of herpers getting away from the cornsnake(great beginner snake) The Larger Ratsnakes are coming into there own and truly looking in the cornsnake classifieds and or the cornsnake forum is kind of well offensive. In order to find anything you have to message people and then they message you back with the hey try this guy i heard he has this or that. I love Fauna and has always been a resource to me but since I began breeding Ratsnakes Its hard to let people know what you have. Just putting my 2 cent out here please split the classifieds at least :)

Sorry, but the traffic (or lack thereof) just does not warrant splitting those forums.
