    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was talking to a guy yesterday, and he said he had a het albino female that threw 31 albino babies in the spring of 2010. I know in genetics anything is probably possible, but has anyone ever heard of this happening before?
 
I hve never heard of that before but I am not saying it didnt happen. I am curious to see some of the replies on this thread.
 
That sounds crazy to me. I'm not calling anyone a liar, but I'd have a hard time accepting that as truth without some hard evidence, unless it were someone like Pete Kahl. lol And if I ever DO have such luck, you can expect to see a butt-load of pics of that normal dam sitting atop all those albino babies!!!

I'm extremely skeptical, but with genetics, I'm not making any definite statements of what is, and what is not. I'd like to hear more, too.

If there were not 31 snakes in the litter, it would be easier to believe. I mean with balls, its not unheard of to breed visual x het and get all normals, or all visuals...but you're only talking about an average size clutch of about 5-6 eggs.
 
I would ask for pics of the parents. Pics of the litter. Pics of everything and see if any thing else looks fishey. ( thats just me though ) lol
 
I have read somewhere about this possible happening. How it was explained is if over the course of a boas breeding life, say you have 50 while marbles and 50 black marbles, you may get any amount of color each breeding year, but in the end it ends up being roughly 50/50 blah blah blah. Like the first breeding being 31 albino, the second breeding may only result in 4-5 albinos an so on. But I have heard of a local guy North of me in IL that posted pictures of a het albino breeding that resulted in over 75% albinos in each breeding. I think a little more information here would help, like total litter count etc.
