    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Vote for Peyton Hillis and keep Mike Vick off of the cover.....

It's no secret here on Fauna that Philadelphia QB Mike Vick isn't well liked here due to his actions in dog fighting. Bet you didn't know he is 1 step away from being on the cover of the Madden '12 football video game

Good news is you have a chance to stop this from happening by going to the Madden '12 cover site and vote for Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis. Here's a direct link....

You won't know how happy I will be if I see Madden '12 on the shelves this year with Peyton Hillis on the cover..... And that's coming from a die hard Steeler fan. :thumbsup:

We're up 2-1 on Tampa Bay and our team is not only down our 2 best players, were down 2 of the top players in the league. We could still win it all, but I doubt it if neither Crosbey or Malkin return.

Should be an interesting playoff season. :thumbsup:
 
My feelings for Vick aside.....why those 2? Seems like odd choices, Hillis had a great year but he ran outta steam towards the end and Vick played well but his team didn't do much come playoff time. I would think it'd be Rodgers or Brady. In the end it won't matter cuz Madden blows and has for years....that's what happens when you have the exclusive license, no competition means mediocre games.
 
EA sports holds a vote. They start with 32 "players", one from each team, and go through a bracketed single elimination tournament till they get a winner. I only quote players because Seattle's representative was the 12th man (ie. their fans). To be honest that would have been a sweet cover....:yesnod:

Agreed. Vick hasn't proven a damn thing in terms of ability just yet, he had a great season but towards the end if noticed when teams started game planning against him he started to come down to earth. He has a lot of weaknesses to his game and when good teams plan for him it shows. He can't roll out of the pocket to the right b/c he refuses to throw so if you force him there you know he'll run, he panics under pressure and runs more often than not in that situation (injury risk from hell), he's not exactly the most accurate passer. I won't deny he had a magical season but let's see him do it again before he's a "beast".

If we're gonna look at beasts its gotta be Rodgers hands down. I hate to say it b/c i'm not even a fan of his but he was just sick in the playoffs and great in the season overall. Brady would be 2nd imo.

Hate'em all you want (i do too) but you can't argue with the results. Those 2 and Peyton are your best QB's in the league by far with Phillip Rivers right underneath. Until Vick can fix the issues i mentioned, prove consistency I don't think he'll ever be on their level.
