I see where you are coming from, I just dont believe much that is put into forums because there is always so much disinformation mixed in with everything else and I make my own decisions about a person based off of my personal experience with them. Like I said before I am just posting from my own experience with him.

Perhaps people are applying the same logic, based on their personal experience with Ed, and not believing much of what you and the other two first timers are putting into the forum?

I am not asking anyone on here to believe what I posted on here about him, Everyone can take it however they like. That is very unfortunate if someone has had bad dealings with him but quite frankly that is none of my business. If anyone thinks that this is some kind of conspiracy there is nothing I can say or do about that. I am not trying to make anyone mad or upset I just wanted to put my two cents in and say I had had a great experience on purchasing my new female tegu and I personally do not have anything bad to say about him.

Marcus....by posting your experience, you are asking us to believe you. Otherwise, why post it? And if you have so little faith in this type of forum because of the "misinformation", why bother?

I really don't see much point in hounding new members because they posted about a good experience. Ed's history is a mixed bag, with both good and bad reports - people can choose do deal with him, or not, as they see fit. Unless, the latest plan is to discredit anybody who claims to have a good experience in dealing with him......?

Only way to do that is an IP check, and that would require a Mod. Now if the three IP's are from different locations, and different then Ed's, I would agree that perhaps we are letting Ed's tarnished past interfere with our better judgement today.

But if they're the same, or from the same locations, then what?

Honestly I dont know. I know I am considered a noob in the forum and I just figured I would post my experience I had with him. I didnt realize it would cause anyone to take offense and for that I apologize. I also said disinformation not misinformation mainly meaning that since I do not know everyone on here personally I do not know what is true and what is not true. Which is why I fully understand why people may or may not believe I had a transaction with him that went good.

Only way to do that is an IP check, and that would require a Mod.

I checked IPs when the first good guy post was made, I have no reason to believe any of these people are Ed at this time.

Now, Ed maybe asking them to sign up and post.. I cannot speculate on that.

I'm satisfied. Don't worry new guys. It's not YOU we don't trust, it's ED. He does good for a little while, then has a streak of his true character getting the better of him. We've LEARNED to be suspicious about him.

In all likelihood, these are legitimate customers that wanted to leave feedback for a seller. Perhaps they asked Ed and told them about this forum...perhaps they already knew, or found it on a search on giving feedback. That isn't for me to say.
If they didn't know his history, it's hard to justify the criticisms; if they did know, it doesn't negate their positive experience. That last part gets said a lot; but it seems to be forgotten quite often, as well.

I just think the relative impact of jumping all over new members for doing what they perceive as "a good thing" is more likely to turn them against us, as a site or individuals (because we're a bunch of ), long before it will shift their opinion of the person that just supplied them with an animal they are pleased with.

ok.. EVERY SINGLE TIME someone posts having a GOOD experience, they get attacked..

NOT ALL EXPERIENCES ARE BAD! Quit hounding people that had the good fortunes to have a deal pan out. (unless you find they are not real .. then hound away!)

My friend bought from him, and ended up getting banned.. Why? because when she posted a good guy thread, she got harassed and snapped back (poor judgement on her part, I know, I am not saying the ban was not deserved)

And.. I am NOT a noob.. and I have had good luck with him.. And no, not just once as a fluke.. I have purchased a total of 3 snakes over the years, and have also sold him my left overs from my boa clutches twice now.

All of these transactions went smoothly, and the animals arrived healthy etc.

and NO.. I am not advocating his behaviour.. it is often ridiculous or just plain aweful. I doubt he would deny that (if he were ever to reply to his negative threads lol).

There are MANY bad guy threads. I am not here to defend his past, or the issues that he has had.. He made his bed, and should lay in it. I am just posting that too I have had good transactions with Ed

Posting the links, informing of his past to help people be aware of the history.. that's great!!! .. but it's not right to attack them because they still went forth and actually had something GOOD happen.

To be honest

Ed has been doing good transactions selling the best healthiest animals that he can buy and re sell. Lets not add great breeder in there. He may hatch a few clutches but how many post are you going to read about all the babies and believe that they came from only two male bearded dragons. either his "inferno" line. Or the marketed leucistic.

I put a statement i made above in bold because i also wanted to point out, A guy posting all those animals from only two males is NOT giving out the correct genetic's on the dragons he is selling. Is that something a good guy would do???

The fact that its ALL new people posting. I believe ed is asking the customers that had a "good" transaction with him to post a gg thread or trader rating. Thing is no one who knows ed will buy from him. This is where he thrives on "new" customers. This is also how ed will build his credibility, so when there is a problem he will say look how many happy customer I have. Then they will come to his defense in a bad guy thread. He's building his crowd, for when he gets in trouble.

AND if I am wrong, Ed finally decided to get on the straight and narrow. It's about time!!!

But like I said about nicole, give it time YOU will find out.

I am far from new... so no.. the FACT is that it is MOSTLY new people posting, MIGHT have something to do with the FACT that people are getting bullied because of mentioning having a good transaction.

The guy got jumped cause of a statement or two. Maybe alittle rough, But is the above logical thinking?

Look at the guys first post, Look what i put in bold... That comment is why he got the reaction that he got. He doesnt believe what is said in a thread? okay how about 10 I listed them on the first page. Look how ed operates, look at how ed has carried himself throughout these 10 bad guy threads, Look how he has stood up for nicole as she claimed a false death threat because she didnt want to refund the customer his money.

Then the second statement he made (also in bold) He doesnt care about anyone else transaction with ed. Hum...... would he care if he got screwed? It would be a different toon he would be singing if the transaction went down hill.

I mean thats what the boi is here for right? To warn others. I think 10 different threads where ed poorly carried himself in, is a REAL good reason to put ed on the do not buy list.

Thats cool you had a good deal with ed. BUT you took a CHANCE buying from ed. I dont like taking chances with my hundreds of dollars. Working to possibly throw your money away isnt why i work.

My statement was a general statement regarding people posting their POSITIVE transactions.

Anyone that sees as many threads (good OR bad) and ignores them, takes that into their own hands.

You can only do so much when it comes to ignorant people..

Its just a few people want to give them the first second and third degree to make sure its legit. An its not right to harass the new members. But beings that its all this high and might stuff about ed, it makes others who know better think that its b.s.

I also want you to look at something. look at the gg thread and then the trader ratings the ed recently acquired,

a trader rating or two mention, "ed is a good guy" ed is a "great guy". one said no worries on working with him... There talking about how good ed is What about the animal? Only one really mentions that the animals was healthy and doing great. I understand saying good guy i guess, but for all of them to mention it??? just something else that sounds out of place.

Speaking for myself, I thought it suspicious, but I wasn't bent at anyone. I'm satisfied they weren't Ed posting, and that was my main concern.

I also don't recall attacking anyone posting a good guy encounter. I've attacked Ed himself, and I've questioned a couple new posts here and there, but I haven't attacked a single poster for posting something good about him.

Or has questioning become attacking all of a sudden?
