Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Regardless, is there any real PROOF in this thread of what his real name is? Can anyone actually READ the name on that driver's license? If not, then ANY name could be on that, and all you are comparing is a photo of the person holding the license with what is on the license itself. That does not prove WHOSE license it is.
The reason I am pressing this is because vwgeckos is requesting that I change his name in his profile. I want to make sure of what his REAL name is before I do that.
Did he provide another pic or are we still talking about the DL he altered?

I can't actually read it but ... it does appear to match up with the DL he posted earlier on (including signature). Of course, since the photo (that you are talking about) was taken on a mirror, the image is flipped/reverse.

This is true. He should post another without taking out part of his last name.
His reasoning of "Yes I blanked out part of the last name because as I said it is hard to pronounce and I dont go by it" never did make sense to me.

I think he's come a long way and not saying he's lying but there are still a couple things that are still bugging me about the whole situation.
1. Everyones original thought was either the ID was a friends or altered. If Chad infact did have a friend good enough to borrow him the ID then whats to stop that friend from also comming to his house holding his ID and taking a pic. I didn't look at the exact time frame from when someone first suggested taking a pic holding the ID to when the picture was actually taken but it seemed like a fair amount of time.
2. He said that he put his name as VanWyn because thats how its pronounced but the facebook profile that was posted the last name there def isn't pronounced that way.
3. Sending the free gecko to me seems like it could be an attempt just to get back on good graces. Seems pretty desperate to move the geckos out fast so sending a free one would just help speed that along.

After seeing the way you've handled yourself here, would have absolutely no qualms buying from you in the future. (Heck, I'd pick up your leachies right now, in a heartbeat, if I hadn't already blown my reptile budget for the month.)
Fauna is very defensive of its own, that's for sure, and we've seen a LOT of nonsense lately, even more than usual. We've had fake pregnancies, fake miscarriages, people coming back with multiple false identities, people running off with auction money raised for two grieving families, people promising to send money or animals to make up for past wrongs then failing to do so... (Searching for threads on "Christina Wise", for example, if you're curious to see some of the drama.) So yeah, when one or several of our members get screwed over, we get really protective and try to do what we can to right things for them.
Unfortunately, sometimes, this leads to cases like yours where an innocent bystander, who ALSO gets taken in by a scam artist (Chad), tries to come here, make a name for themselves, and is treated with suspicion. You've proved yourself, though, at least to me, now.
I hope you will stay around, build a good name for yourself, and I wish you the best of luck in your reptile pursuits.

That was really nice of your friend to come over and take pictures of himself holding his license so you could use his identity to scam more people (which also explains why you have the same IP address as Chad…because YOU ARE HIM!)
You may have just gotten away with it for a while longer if you had actually retaken the geckos photos in your ads. It also kind of gives it away when “Broderick” tells us how hard a gecko is to photograph, when “Broderick” didn’t even take the picture…YOU did!
If you would have just sent me the gecko, instead of making up excuses, you probably could have gotten away with stealing peoples $ and keeping their geckos a little while longer!
Just so everyone is aware…”Broderick” told me that he’d ship out my gecko last Monday 6/20 for Tuesdays delivery. Tuesday morning came and went, no gecko. I got nervous, and asked for a tracking #, he replied that he forgot, and to please not tell anyone, and he would ship Wednesday for Thursdays delivery. Thursday again…no gecko. At 12pm I sent “Broderick” a message… “He’s not ever coming is he? L” Broderick replied that YES, he was indeed coming, but his grandfather is very sick, and he must stay with his family (he could’ve at least sent me a PM to let me know). His last email to me said that he would definitely be shipping my gecko Tuesday 6/28, for Wednesdays arrival…What a surprise! NO GECKO!
I honestly think Broderick VWgeckos IS Chad!!!!
(and Broderick, if your stories are true, and your grandfather is sick, Im very sorry and wish your Grandfather the best, but I still don’t believe you are who you say you are, and you can just take that gecko and SHOVE IT!)

For what it's worth, my mother is in the last stages of kidney failure, and if i needed to ship out a gecko I'm for dang sure I could find the time to do so. People getting sick stinks, but so does Tara not getting her gecko and then being given the run around twice for the same animal.
