Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Guess what? I was one of those people who asked one of those PM questions, and Mr. Moore explained it very quickly in a manner that was easy to understand, and almost seemed to be walking on eggshells to try and do it fast and simple, but not come off as a jerk or something. I think he basically said something to the effect of "The easiest way for me to explain this is to point you to the sticky above each..." and so I pointed and clicked, said "Oh?!" to myself, then typed out a quick apology to Mr. Moore for wasting his time, because that is exactly what I did.
Jeesh dude, read the dern sticky and get on with life already. I can't imagine being anywhere near as polite as 'big meanie' or any of the moderators have been when one considers how many times they have been bombarded with the same friggin' question. You're lucky it aint me in their position - I'd be up at the top of some tower in a pink dress and flowery hat with my trusty 50-cal by now - not a pretty picture at all.

Other behavior aside, this alone (even though the "excuse" did not make sense) would, and will, make me avoid the OP like the plague!
Imagine if a problem came up, should someone do business with the OP, and lies (by the OP) could be resorted to.:ack2:

BTW I do know that lies are resorted to, by quite a few "untrustworthy individuals", but ... when it is proven that they will resort to lies/deception ... that is a big signal, for me, to not do business with that person. Just wanted to clarify.;)

I have been here forever. I was even a mod here once upon a time. If you take all the versions that Fauna has gone through and add up all my posts in the past versions, you will probably see that I probably have the most posts. I guess what I am trying to say is I have been here a while and have seem most of it if not all.

I have seen it hundreds of times. They are always in the process of contemplating on becoming a contributor. But it just so happens that something did not go their way during their decision making process so they decided to change their minds. He is not the first guy who ALMOST contributed. He won't be the last.

I wonder though, if I were a contributing member would I receive this level of service?

It's a afterthought and the reason he thinks he is getting substandard service. The service he pays nothing for. He has been selling his wears for more than a couple of years here and could have contributed at any time.

As for the contribution that I "lost" from this guy, all I have to say about that is "Yeah, riiiiiiiight......" :rolleyes: I have gotten that same line from MANY people who didn't get their way and got in a huff over it, or else were just on the way out being ushered out the door.
 
Well, I just took the plunge too... when a guy makes $5k on a deal off a website and does not contribute, well that's just wrong. I haven't sold anything here yet, but I've found quite a few good deals like the dosing needle set I just bought for about 2/3 what they would normally cost. Now if I can just keep this set from not walking off...

Well, I wills ay that I was one of those guys that wrote to a Mod with this question and I had a link to the boi with in minutes. This is THANKS to the FRAGGIN DRAGON. I will say that I am not the smartest apple in the basket, but guess what. I FIGURED IT OUT IN ABOUT 10 SECONDS OF READING. I think that the MODS do a great job here. I have been reading quite a bit of the boi threads here lately because i just learned about them and what they were used for. MAN OF MAN, can you sure learn alot about some people. I will tell you that I WILL DEFINITELY BE A CONTRIBUTOR SOON.

GREAT JOB MODS, I'm sure that you will lose no sleep over this one.

Also, where is the guy who started this, havent seen him in a FEW posts. HAHA.
 
Ive had my fair share of rough times and reprimands by moderators or other members... I still love this site and when i actually start breeding my collection and selling the snakes i produce then im planning on becoming a contributor.

It just makes sense
 
I got my coins a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't be happier with them! Did I buy something other than little silver things under my name? Nah, I don't think so... this is a great site and well-deserving of some donations if just for the BOI alone! Think for a second about all the bad deals that would be happening all over the country if not for this one section of the forum, but now they're not.

Long live Fauna Classifieds.
 
If I was a new member, and received that response, I probably wouldn't be too happy with it myself. Yes, he should have taken the time to look around first, but come on....the guy has less than 50 posts, and asked a question. How hard would it have been to reply by saying, "Only contributing members can post in the classified section.", and then link the thread.

Nope....he's not a customer. Contributor? Not any time soon. Am I the only one here that thinks Rich's condescension has something to do with that?
 
I don't reply to much but I am here reading alot and learning alot. If you do that you will see that all MODS treat everyone equally. They do not join sides with anyone. It seems as if they try to do whats right.
