In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy MarinaAlexis Zermeno AKA mazermeno1 of Houston TX

I believe after she made sale, Some one let her know the value of the animal. Instead of letting buyer know this she first said animal bit her and she couldn't sell because she listed it as tame. When buyer said that's ok, then it became a respiratory infection.

She should have told buyer, Hey I just found out it's worth more, can we work something out.

it doesn't look like you have read the entire thread. you may want to do that.

yep read it.

well i can assure you this is not the case. I have spoke with her extensively and she could care less what it sells for. If you actually read the entire thing she was wanting to sell it for the original price and got yelled at for it. Same thing goes for when she said fine she will sell it for more. But i do believe we have found a reasonable solution to the whole situation.

In post #65, on page 7, Marina submitted an invoice. I was suspicious, so I emailed a copy of the invoice to the animal hospital. Below are the emails between us, with the juicy part highlighted.

Marina....can you explain this?

You are more than welcome to copy and paste to the thread. I too emailed the site administrator, but have not heard anything back from him at this point. Thanks you so much for checking up prior to purchasing a pet. Most new owners don’t think to double check with the clinic to verify information.

Good luck with whatever pet your hunting down and make sure to take it to a vet for a check-up after purchase!

Sincerely,

Kathy Palmer, DVM

May I post your response to me in the thread? I have told the site administrator the gist of what is going on.

This is Dr. Palmer with Gulfgate Animal Hospital and this is NOT our invoice. We do see exotics, but no reptiles. The format of the invoice is not our format and the pricing for the exams listed is not consistant with our pricing. I’m sorry to inform you that this is NOT a valid invoice from our hospital.

Could you please tell me which listing it is so that I can report it the the site administrator. Thanks

This invoice was posted onto a reptile board, Fauna Classifieds, as evidence of a recent visit. I am hoping that you can verify its authenticity.

Thank you for your time. Have a great day!

I didn't want to make accusations but my first thought was legitimacy of the vet bill. It is so easy to make those up.

What?? Dr palmer wasn't there when i took them to the office. I was told over the phone that they do not see reptiles but I have been a customer there for almost 3 years and when i went to take my dog back on thursday a man was working there and he told me that i could take my reptiles in because he had experience with them. They have seen some of my exotics and have even prescribed me baytril for reptiles. the email you emailed is a sales email not the drs!

The point is not "Which of the Drs saw your animals."

At this time it's: Where did you get the RECEIPT for animal treatment that you are claiming Dr. Palmer's office gave you after treating the animals? They have clearly stated it's NOT one of their receipts.:shrug01:

How's this?

Like I even have a horse in this race.

Nonsense. The phone number you listed is NOT their number. They ADDED $25 for 'multi-animals', not deducted it. That invoice is straight from excel invoice generator. She told me they don't even use that format.

Unless the custodian let you in and printed you the invoice, I gotta call :icon_bs:

The number on the invoice is to a locksmith in Houston(according to google). The number listed on the emails is the number to the vet clinic(or at least a answering machine that gives their message).

The invoice math is wrong(as stated) where the "multi-animal discount" was added to the total instead of subtracted from the total.

Good eye on spotting that math error and phone number.

Waiting on the inevitable implosion...when one hole is exposed, others are sure to follow, followed by the classic, ":censored: you guys, I'm done with this thread!."

I stepped away to go pick up a new snake rack and came back to this(and am quietly, shamefully eating my earlier words).

you really need to stop accusing me of being a liar. i posted the invoice like you wanted. Don't get mad because your not getting your way by trying to make me look bad. I don't deal with people like you because its a waste of time. And love doesn't have a price tag. But when your 20 years old, in college and have one job. Giving someone $1000 isn't easy! its about time you get off my case because your posts are meaningless.

It took awhile for me to catch up on my reading of this thread. When I left it this morning it was on pg. #5, but once I got to the part where she finally posted the invoice I found it quite suspicious. I know the validity of the invoice has been determined fake, but...

Has anyone else thought it rather odd that an animal hospital would put an office visit on an invoice with headers that read: Bill To: & Ship to:? The only time I've received invoices with those headers was if I purchased something shipped to me or at least from a merchant that regularly does ship merchandise to customers.

To me that told me, in my opinion, that the invoice was probably created by someone other than the vets. she claimed to have taken her reptiles to.

Thank You Rob!!! I KNEW what we were smelling!

We may have seen the last of her, but I'm still waiting on Cody, her biggest supporter to weigh in:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
