    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

By the way, I'll probably be camping at Tomoka State Park, which is only $14/night and about a 15 minute drive to the conference center. The park is beautiful too, but it is HOT, so may not be pleasant for a lot of you northerners. ;-)

By late August it should be cool enough to be comfortable. And Tomoka is a great place. If ur into canoeing/kayaking they have a few good size canals, and last time I went I saw a manatee, a dolphin, and a GIANT catfish/carp, couldnt really tell cuz it move into dark water before I got a good look. (And I am no fish expert) Also its like $20 for the first hour and $10 each additional hour until u reach $50 for a whole day to rent a canoe. I try to frequent out there, tho I have been slacking on it cuz my canoe partner moved outta state and I wont go out there alone. :(

I am so excited its coming, hell Ill probably wont buy anything, Ill mostly just spend 10 dollars to mingle with u guys.

And Im loking the t-shirt idea. Ill prolly put my screen name and avatar on there just so Ill be easy to recognize :D
 
If you're into herps, Tomoka state park is a dream. The place is crawling with lizards. Last time I was down there I saw southeastern five-lined skinks, a broadhead skink, and a bunch of anoles. I wasn't even trying to find stuff, I'm sure the more talented folks would have a field day in there.

The heat doesn't really bother me anymore, but I remember the first time I spent the night there that I had trouble sleeping because it was too hot. It's just the still air I think, the live oaks are amazingly beautiful but they keep the sea breeze out of the campground.
 
Getting my shirt for the show made today! My mom works for the company that does screen printing/embroidering so I can get mine done quick and free luckilly. I'll post of a pic of it this afternoon. I can't decide if I want a green, white, or black shirt. >.<
 
Does anyone know if people who sell frozen feeders will be at the show? There is no place around here other than Petsmart that does and I can't afford shipping to order online.

Im stuck working Friday and Saturday, and can only make it Sunday.

Oh well I guess it will help me save my money and keep from impulse buying...

Not going, though I am sure the show is awesome. I just can't give my tourist dollars to a state who has fought so hard to kill my right to enjoy my hobby.
 
Wouldnt it be better to show there are alot of people interested in this hobby? I can understand having a grudge against the state, (believe I got a few of my own), but why let that deprive you of a good show and have one less "tally" walking through the door?

I'm setting up at smaller shows, but the wife and I will be hanging out with friends who are vending Friday night. Used to do the whole weekend, but it's just gotten too expensive. I'll be the guy around the hotel bar with the big glass Haufbrauhaus stein. Feel free to say howdy!
