    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can someone help here...fedex for lack of a better term are being douche bags about shipping "live harmless reptiles." they are saying it HAS to be business to business, and I'm wondering what the way around this is. If there is another company...or what I should do as the best resource for shipping snakes...
I know for a fact that it is crap though because at my HOME I dont think i have accepted LESS THAN 15 packages. haha!

are you certified to ship ''live harmless reptiles'' through fedex? that could be the problem?? i am certified & never had that problem & i've shipped atleast 6 out 10 packages to residential homes in the last month.

if not try shipyourreptiles.com i used them in the past & they were pretty good with ups,but since ups gave up on the reptile restrictions or whatever!! they now work with fedex.

I believe that business to business shipping is all that anyone can do through Fedex unless shipping through reptilesexpress or SYR. I have no issue with following their stipulations that are in my contract and only shipping to a business. It is also cheaper then shipping to a residence.

Whether I am the seller or buyer, I feel more comfortable if I have a packaged shipped "hold for pick-up." I also get better prices then SYR through my account with fedex and only have to worry about what I do and not thousand of others shipping reptiles.

I use FedEx and they can be a pain in the a$$ about their rules and regs. The biggest issue I have with them is that they will not insure a live animal shipment against loss. What's to keep the delivery guy from tossing the snakes in a dumpster if they don't have any responsibility for the package? That being said I have shipped to residences plenty of times without a problem. I don't have them pick up here at the house because I don't like the snakes bouncing around in a FedEx truck any longer than necessary. I take my box to the FedEx terminal in the evening (I think 6PM is the latest they will accept a package and guarantee next day delivery) which eliminates the "business" part on my end. Once they have the box in hand they are going to deliver to whatever the address is.

Actually, you are clearly wrong. It is a direct violation of the contract certified shippers sign with FedEx. Supposedly RE and SYR have an exclusion to this restriction, but I haven't seen it in writing and have nothing but their word about it.

If you want to bypass the restriction and don't mind paying a smidgen more, I'd suggest sticking with RE.
