    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

what an awesome surprise.... i would say axanthic or possible het.red axanthic.... what ever it is it looks awesome !!! and a few yrs of breeding should prove out what it is.. good luck !!
 
Super pretty animal. I produced some gargoyles last year (het red axanthich X Cinnamon) and I cant help but notice this baby is a splitting image of them aside from the weird tail..so..my theory is this:

You ran into some 'gene' on the same allele, and, could very possibly produce something that is similar to a red axanthic/super green pastel when bred out. At first I thought "axanthic cinnamon" but, I just dont see how the axanthic gene would mess with the pattern so intensely. It is a splitting image of a gargoyle to me.

Congrats on it though! Good luck on the future project, would be interesting to see what happens.
 
Very possible. Now is the intense wait to put him back to mom and a few others. I think the super will unlock most of the answers. Just hoping it's not another solid white snake :)
 
Ricca, I would be very, very, very surprised if it turned out to be a solid white snake considering how the babies turned out.

I sure hope I get lucky enough to hatch something "odd" one day! :D Can't wait to see what you produce with that boy. What's his weigh up to now? (Wondering if he may have a shot this upcoming season.)

Well he is a chow hound and the best part is he took to F\T on his 3rd feed.
He weighed 75 grams at hatch and his post hatching shed was on July 4.
He just shed last night and weighed in at 150 grams.

They're looking great!! Still excited to see what all this unfolds. Can't wait for you to breed the one back to mom.

I'm wondering if mom isn't a granite, you said dad has speckling... So maybe he was a granite cinny? Maybe the one is a super granite cinny? If there is a super form to the granites that is, I've always thought it was a dom gene so never bothered working with or getting into granites. So I haven't done research on the gene.


Whatever is going on here is awesome though!

Yeah, I was thinking granite might be tied in there somehow, whether it be super granite cinny or granite on top of something else. I have heard that the granite gener, when actually stumbled upon proves to be non-genetic, codom, dom or even recessive. Something definately played with the cinny patterns and coloration.
