OP, the seller has given you the refund you'd asked for, and you flat out state that nothing else he can do will make this right. You've stated your stance, your beliefs, so what's the point in continuing to beat this horse?

The purpose of the BOI is to inform sellers and buyers of others' business practices. Not pound someone into the ground even after they've done everything they've been asked to do by the party wronged. I'm not saying he's a good guy, or that what he did was right. Heck, he said himself that it was wrong. But if there's no pleasing you, why continue? The thread is here for the world to see when/if they search his name in an inquiry and will be linked in his ads via the BOI button at the bottom of his posts. Perhaps it's time to step back from the computer and chill a bit before the scales tip the other way and you get yourself a reputation as a buyer that just refuses to be pleased.

Why? I keep finding out more and more lie about my snakes from having this thread.. so that's reason enough however the main reason is I got screwed over and it was intentional and I do not want him to do it to someone else. So you think if someone does something intentional and then apologies I should forgive them?

it is getting to be to much. i said i was sorry and i do understand your frustration. and everyone here will agree richard didnt take the right actions but christina this has been taken to another level as people have said here youve said what you needed to. everyone makes mistakes he did solve the problem as best he could and you have every right to be on the boi but the stuff on his adds... come on he didnt go to a field pick up mites and say ha im going to screw this lady over. maybe lack of paying attention but why would anyone purposly do that. lack of caring i could understand but he didnt go get a jar of mites to put on the snakes to ship to you. im agreeing with you its not right one bit to recieve animals like that but common he did his best to make you happy and as stated earlier if he was out to screw you he could simply not pick up your calls and he didnt do that i fully understand your frustration but lets all take a step back and look at this like adults. this has gone way to far for way to long. and as stated its not looking good if you cant be pleased christina it really doesnt . im sorry it wasnt handle the way a sale should be handled but i dont think anyone finds mites and puts them on snakes prior to shipping. i really do think it was a honest mistake

He sent them aware of the mites, there was no way he didn't know they had them, what part of this do you not understand? He needed money so he didn't care if they had them. He screwed me to get money. I don't take apologies from crocks. I have spent thousands of dollars on snakes in the last couple months, I can name off many breeders that sent me quality snakes, it doesn't take much to please me...all I ask for is honesty. If he was honest with me I wouldn't have bought them and thus there would be no problem.

He tells me he couldn't ship him out and will ship him the next day. The next day rolls around still not shipped. Then he tells me he sold the snake by accident, by accident!!!!!????? he offers me the low white calico that you received. I decline and he offers to buy my lesser pastel outright for 750. I agree and revive a deposit of 300 dollars a week later. The remaining 450 is due the next week. I Never get it. He said its lost in the mail. Its a money order like I asked. I lose contact with him for over a month. Final in late june he calls me and tells me he can't pay me the rest of my money and that he is gonna send me my snake back. I ended up getting my snake back weighing the same as when I sent it out and a few small rat bites on its back. Through the whole ordeal I learned to be very careful about who you deal with.

Yep, it couldn't possibly be the fact maybe he's having money problems in the economy and he couldn't afford the rest of the payment and gave the snake back, cut his loss?

I doubt he intentionally screwed you over, or he would have done it in a much worse fashion rather than just having mites on the snake. LOL

Money problems!!! What a crappy excuse, many people have money problems but any honest person would have called Cody and said.. trade is off, don't ship, I'm broke. But does he do that? NO. It was suppost to be a trade not a sale!!! Then he says he sold the snake he was suppose to send in trade by accident? What the . I would say he was banking on flipping Cody's snake imminently and making some money then when he couldn't get it flipped he sent it back. Poor Cody got his snake back after being exposed to god knows what and it had rat bites.

Sorry but he know those snakes he sent me had mites, sure he could have sent worse and I'm sure he has to other people.

Because there comes a point when you start to appear like you can't let anything go, and there will be sellers who read this that won't comment but will quietly add you to their "do not sell to" list, just so that they can avoid the drama if one thing might go wrong in their transaction with you.

I agree that Richard should have known that there were mites. I agree that he may not have been completely honest with you throughout the transaction, and I agree you've already stated that ad nauseum.

If your point is to warn other people about your dealings with him, you accomplished that on the first page of this runaway thread. No one is asking you to forgive him. But now you're only doing harm to yourself by looking a little crazy by not being able to let the thread rest on the facts already presented.

If you want to keep venting about the situation, Hell might be a good place to do so, but as an outside observer just reading this, I felt compelled to reply because while I was sympathetic to your experience at the beginning of the thread, I started to become less so by the end of the thread, simply because you don't appear to be able to let it go.

So, when will you be "satisfied" that you've presented all the facts and allow the thread to speak for itself for anyone who may do an inquiry on him?

With 7k views and posting this thread on every add he has just placed up enough is enough time to let go everyone here sees where your coming from but you are not allowing other peoples views to get to you. Every one has said "he is wrong" what more do you need you dont need to defend yourself he did try to fix the issuse so there no point on this on going thread to continue with all this anger. And honestly they are a 100% right as i tried stating to you earlier I would sell to you just because nothing can make you happy. If case you haven't noticed... many of the last posts have been about "your now starting to make your self look bad because it needs to be dropped, blah ,blah, blah," well seems like you all are like a broken record and adding to the thread by going on and on, no different than what I've been doing. I realize I'm veeeeery passionate & obsessive about this situation, it's caused me so much heartache and I cried my eyes out when I seen those snakes come out of the shipping box. I will say I do not care if someone (even big breeders) write me of of their "sell to list" because of this BOI thread, it just goes to show they are someone who doesn't take the situation with the same seriousness as I do and by not selling to me they are probably saving me from another heartache. Now if you keep posting on here I will keep responding it's a simple as that.

Not to go off subject, as it is terrible what he did, but soaking your animals in Vegetable Oil will suffocate the mites and put them into a shed cylce. Completly safe and affective. I hope he refunds your shipping and care money!

In response to the negative issues here. I want to say that unless it happens to you, and you go through what she's gone through. You can't immagine the pain and suffering one goes through to know that someone has taken advantage of you and your trust. Believe me... it's a hard pill to swallow and it sucks to think that someone can hurt animals the way these animals were hurt.

Honestly? She has every right to be hurt and hate the guy forever if she so chooses, but dragging it back up to rehash just reeks of bitter harpie. If that's all the thicker her skin is, this might not be a good match as far as a hobby. Wait'll she gets her very own customers that teat her like crap too. LOL

I'm new to this hobby so I don't have the luxury of knowing who to trust. I do my best to find reviews before I buy but they aren't always available. And you are right I am very bitter, I'm not use to being taken advantage of and it doesn't feel good. It's very hard to let go when the wound still feels very fresh. I use to own a licensed dog breeding kennel and I ran into very little problems with buying or selling, it was wonderful. I realize there are good and bad in every hobby but so far it seem to me like reptiles draw a large number of liars, cheats and thieves. Maybe I've just had extra bad luck.
