Hey everyone, I just picked up this little guy and he appears to look like a granite yellowbelly to me, but I just wanted to see what yall think. And yes these pics are horrible via my phone lol. Thanks for any input!

that just looks like a granite to me, nice clear belly, my het pied female looks like that minus the tire tracks.

Honestly he was a pick up from Petco. He was on "sale" for 20 bucks so I figured why not get a little dinker for myself. That, and the girlfriend wouldnt put him down lol. He is a pretty little guy, but I will try to get better res pics this weekend. If I go further out with my phone, you wont be able to see anything

Granite pattern can be genetic but not always. That's something you would have to prove out.

Regards,

B

Yea I have heard of this, but the speckling on him is amazing so I figured why not pick him up and see what happens

I dont really have anything else I am dinking around with, so this little guy is a good start since I am sure he is CH.

Sounds like you got a project to work on :) I have a Black Pastel with tons of speckling that is a possible granite. Waiting on a friends clutch of het clowns from the same mom to see if the speckling is genetic. If so... sweet! Then I have to see if my friend can prove it has a super form! Granite doesn't get a lot of love in the hobby but the subtle stuff is really cool I think. Good luck!

Regards,

B
