• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

TRADER RATING ?

Your trader rating goes up when you have successful transactions with (contributing) members, and they use that system to provide feedback.

Trader ratings can only be given by Contributing members. That said, it goes up or down when a Contributing member gives you their rating of the transaction with you by clicking the 'Rate this User' link on your profile.

I understand why because someone could just make twenty accounts to get their rating up but on the other hand, it stinks too because I can't leave the well deserved positive feedback about my transaction.

Well, if YOU had a single person you somehow pissed off make twenty false registrations here just to give you twenty negative ratings, how would you feel about that?

Courtney - it costs $25 to be a contributing member, then you can leave feedback AND support this site! :thumbsup:

The BOI is another means of leaving feedback; and it is free to all registered users. It isn't exactly the same thing as the Trader Rating, as it is narrative and sometimes the stories are rather involved.....but Good Guy posts are straightforward; and they are definitely looked at by prospective buyers.

If you also click the (13) in John's trader rating, it will bring up the menu for trader ratings as well.

Yeah I posted in the BOI as well. And Id love to but we just moved 900 miles, I'm a stay at home mom for the first time in my life, and so things are just tight right now. We spent 1800 just to get us and our belongings here.
