It amazes me that a moderator can just chime in with an opinon about holding it together two posts after they tell you to stop bickering....poor behavior in my opinion...I posted a thread get all kinds of gruff from all sides then a moderator chimes in to put more wood on the fire.....what gives?

The mods give a LOT of their time free to this site and do a good job. If you have a problem you can always send them a private message, and if you are reasonable I bet you would get a positive response.

Moderators can get infractions for breaking site rules the same as any other person that posts on this site. Moderators are also users of the site and are free to post their opinions as such, the same as any other member.

Anyone, even Rich can post as a member. Their personal opinion can and does differ from the site policy sometimes. Does this mean that no one should be a moderator? Or should simply give their membership status to be devoted to the site as a moderator all the time? Why?

I think the ultimate moderator is Rich. He put his trust into the people he has working the boards. Well deserved, I might add. I have never seen a mod play favorites or treated another unfairly.
The mods are just people. They can make mistakes just like anyone else. They also have opinions and the rights to express them as anyone else. Just because they are mods, they are not mute. I think it's pretty silly to think anyone would want to be a mid if they are ONLY here to scour the boards looking for people who screw up.

He ramped it up a notch, and I advised him to take his concerns this forum. Not sure where he put it, since it had to be moved here
So the extent of my fueling the fire was stating that I was surprised he had managed not to get booted. At the time, I considered it akin to a warning...especially since I had been on the verge of removing him at two different times in that thread.

HH-akin to a warning and a warning are two different things....look at the whole thread....ive been soured by all people and even you have taken a partial antagonistic approach to delever akin warnings....im all about good approach quote all context not just some that you see justifiable to akin warnings...other mods have been looking at the thread Ive been told to go drink etc etc hence the evenhanded request

I'm well aware of that...had I intended to give you a real warning, I would have. Most people, receiving a comment like that could have read enough between the lines to figure it out. You, on the other hand, just decided to argue.
As far as reading the thread, and seeing what's been going on, I have been. Intentionally, or not, you have come off as abrasive and needling. That you made such a huge issue over the other party telling you to relax and have a drink, then went on your little tangent about him donating to MADD or AA, really made me wonder if you are that out of touch...or maybe you were trying to be humorous?

Either way, the series of posts before I stepped in were disruptive and offtopic. You might not have liked the fact that I addressed you personally, but you were the source of the problem at that time.

A moderator's actions are subject to review by the rest of the moderation team, and, ultimately, the site owner/administrator.

Your refusal to post the bill kind of makes me wonder if you haven't LOST the bill yourself. Now, you have nothing to prove that he does indeed owe money so poking and instigating him to make him lose his temper is your only course of action.
