Gettin' My Kicks From Clutch #6!!!

I don't care if my title's a bit cheesy!! I really am stoked about this clutch. Only possible sires are a ghost or a honeybee. Last year the ghost sired her clutch and I got 1.1 hets and .3 visuals. This year I've got 2 extra chances, plus the chance of honeybees and spider het ghosts, but I'd be happy as can be with a repeat of last season!!

Hope to update this with some gorgeous pics in about 56 days!!

Thanks Dustin! You mean like this girl?? She was born on 7/23/10 and is already pushing 1000 grams (these pics are a couple months old). These 7 eggs will either be her siblings or half-siblings. I'm REALLY hoping for half because, while this girl's father looks great, the honeybee is way better/brighter (3rd pic--him with a normal). I'll know around Oct 8th.

Well, they're pipping, and I'm officially disappointed. Out of 7 eggs produced from breeding a visual x het, I got only 2 ghosts.

I actually cut this clutch last weekend, and wasn't even disappointed that I saw no spiders; however, when I first cut, I thought I had 5 ghosts. 3 of the ones I thought were ghosts, all colored up since and are obviously just hets.

And even though I'm disppointed with my odds, I'm still happy with my light season. Most of my odds were good, and I knew that odds usually do even out with a little time. Besides, I've got a clutch from a pastel due to be laid most any day now. 99% sure that the sire of that clutch was my lesser.

I'll post pics of the ghosts as they come out, and hopefully will report lots of females!!

Thanks, Dustin!! Unfortunately, I already had some decent odds this year so this clutch was the "evening out". lol Main reason that I'm so disappointed is that I had a few people wanting/expecting one from this pairing. I'm keeping at least one female for myself!!

So far I've gotten 2 pairs of hets, and this female visual ghost. Can't wait to see her after a few sheds!

Thanks, Tere!! I think that the 2nd ghost is much prettier with lots more blushing...but it's a boy!

Oh well. My friend that got my BEL het ghost is getting this boy so they should make some gorgeous hypo mojos and mojos het ghost for him in a couple of years!! (Unrelated clutches.)
