    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Their facilities are burning. I'm totally shattered for them, and praying for them.

I wasn't sure which forum to put this in, and didn't see it anywhere else. If it's in the wrong place, I'm sorry. I just thought people should know.

I was thinking the same...

Seems a bit strange. The burglar alarm couldve also malfunctioned though..either due to the fire..or caused the fire. I actually had a fire alarm catch fire when I lived in a apartment. Strangest thing ever. Brand new alarm. It scorched the ceiling.
 
that is terrible...

A reptile store in this area had a fire about 10 years ago, even though some of the reptiles survived they ended up dying later due to the smoke inhalation. I hope they are able to save some of their animals.. this is just so depressing and sad. I can't even imagine what Robyn, Chad and the others are going through...

I've been following this since the morning, it honestly brought a few tears to my eyes... especially after seeing pictures of the facility after the fact.

My prayers are still with the folks at PE, but the best news I've heard is the single boa survivor as well = (

They're speculating that the Burglar Alarm was set off from the heat of the fire busting out the windows.
 
My heart's in my mouth. This is a reptile breeder's biggest fear. Chad and Robyn, our prayers are with you.

You would think a smoke detecter would be the first alarm but I guess anything can happen but I just thought a burglar alarm going off was a bit strange.

That would be a glass break detecter.
 
Sending out prayers of hope and healing for the living and prayers for peace to the lost.

The following days will be miserable and heart-breaking, healing will come...along with the tears.

Let it all happen. It's a necessary evil that will help you to move on.

Damn..... I used to have nightmares of something like this happening while out of town when we had our animals. What a terrible thing to have happen to anyone....... :(
 
I have thought about this all day and seeing those pictures of the snake racks and seeing a snake inside one....just sickens me.
I hope someone can get something organized where we can all show our support.
We have offered to donate an enchi male or female and a lesser ghost male. Both babies sadly. But it would be a start if we can all pull together and see them through this devastation.
