In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

New one on me...

OK, so i have a 2011 female blood that is doing something i have not seen before.
I did my daily check this morning and i found rat bones and fur, no meat of any kind, it was dry not slimy. i dont know if she regurgitated it or pooed it out. looks like an "Owl Pellet" if you dissected one of those as a kid in biology class.
anyone have them do this before? should i worry about it?

I hate it when they do something new...

If it was in that state of digestion, I'd doubt that it was regurged. What's your hot spot temp, and what kind of heat are you using? Is this the first time it's defecated in your care?

no, its not the first time she has defecated, does it about once a month give or take, but it is usually "normal" looking (brown solid log). this time it was all for and bones.

her heat and humidity is regulated by a computer and stays at 83 +/- 1 deg. and 65% humidity. i do check it independently about once a week. do you think that temps could be a factor here?

i have a couple snakes that sometimes defecate bones and fur, then a couple days later, the "normal" stuff comes out and vice versa. snakes intestinal tract is still sometimes a mystery how/why it works the way it does

if you have never smelled a regurgitated prey item, you are missing out. haha.

trust me, you would know if it is a regurgitated meal

oh man, you would know if it was regurg. my adult carpet sometimes releases bone pieces and fur, either shortly before or after a "normal" deification.

Thanx for the info i wont worry about it to much then.
i hope to NEVER find out what a regurgitated rat smells like...i cant hardly stand the smell of a rat anyway so i can just imagine!
