In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy BEWARE! Ken, the owner of Exotic Pets LLC is not a reputable dealer!

Everyone starts somewhere. And I hope no one thought I, myself, was trying to be nasty. I just have always looked at asking for a lower price from a seller to be a poor practice. :)

I'm definitely frugal too, but I guess I handle it in a different way.
Everyone is a Newbie once. :)

Angie - that's exactly how I felt before I realized he lied thru his teeth - just thought he was a newbie that needed some guidance and some experience to realize that getting 2 snakes that are perfect except they aren't marked by sex is not nearly as bad as it could have been - he could have actually gotten snake infested mites (not lied and pretended he did) or no snakes at all..

I don't know if you served or not, but I served with great "honor", SIR! You can't take that away from me!

I reported a guy that lied 3 times on a transaction. In the course of that, I lied about a picture (bad me). Way before the picture....from the time I posted, everyone was beating on the poster, instead of the real liar here. If I get a bad deal again, I won't bother to warn others on Fauna. Let the buyer beware.

You that want to....go ahead and buy from ken....have at the mites ;-)

If you had read my previous posts, you would see I have no intention of buying from Ken, and you also proved nothing about his so called lies. You did, however, prove yourself to be a liar, therefore anything you say from this point on is game for scrutiny. That's what happens when you are dishonest in an attempt to make yourself appear dishonest. Get it?

I also stated, very clearly, that what you are expecting is a private breeder experience, but you bought from someone who is a re-seller and not a producer. Therefore, your expectations are unrealistic. If you knew anything about this hobby, you would be aware of that.

Also ... since you stated it ... a honorable man does not lie, make false claims or stretch the truth to present evidence (i.e. stealing that photo). So, there is nothing honorable about you. Just a man caught in a lie grasping at straws in an attempt to keep himself from drowning. Congatulations, you failed at that.

Yup, that pic being stolen definitely made me decide he was a liar and not just a newbie who needs a bit of help.
Sad when there are people like that in the hobby. :( And I would definitely never sell to him. Who knows, anyone who did just might find themselves in the same boat as Ken.

I just realized in my last post I put "snake infested mites" haha I meant mite infested snakes .. But hey maybe it's some comic relief? Snake infested mites - idk how I mixed that up.. Lol

And Ken - bravo, your the man! Lol you stayed calm cool and collected and handled this fiasco with perfect business etiquette! Your a classy man and deserve a pat on the back - I think you gained respect and customers from this thread. I know I won't hesitate to do business with you in the future.

I think at this point it would be appropriate for Ken to start a bad guy thread on Mr. Hatcher. It just might prevent someone getting ripped off.

I agree with you kingsnake - this did have a great outcome, willow I def appreciate your research bc that certainly helped alot. And maybe you don't agree, I just don't like to throw the word scumbag and other variations of it around, period. But that's just me! I'm happy that the truth was discovered bc here I was feeling bad for Denny bc, while I thought the initial reason for the bad guy thread (the snakes not being clearly marked as to sex when shipped) was trivial, I did initially believe he received snakes w mites. There were some harsh comments about Denny being in the wrong hobby bc he couldn't sex his own snakes and for being frugal -- and it made me feel kind of bad for him bc I didn't think there was any malicious intent behind his motives - just the normal "newbie" behaivors and emotions (i.e. Embellishing the truth, making mountains out of mole hills, countless excuses for everything) iknow that is not the case now and I do feel like Denny has brought this on himself.. Still, no matter what, I don't believe in calling anyone a scumbag. But once again, Denny, ya brought this on yourself and I hope in the future you uphold the saying "honesty is the best policy" - a man is only as good as his word (and his last transaction when it comes to business). You may REALLY get scammed in the future - and if I were you I'd be very cautious who you deal with from this point forward bc you are a perfect target for scammers having "cried wolf" - and if you bring it here to the BOI to be heard and for help - no one is going to help or believe you - believe it or not, I've seen threads from 2003 come back to nip ppl in the butt when they seek help and retribution from this forum. I wish Denny the best - no ill intentions, but even I, an eternal optimist, would proceed with extreme caution if there ever came a point you tried to do business with me.

Re: The bolded above:: Speaking for myself, personally...I get around. I know people from all walks of life and I have family that have served and some that are still serving. But, never in my 57 years have I seen/heard one true, ethical Vet use his disability as an excuse for not doing something or for implying that because of his disability he should be given leeway. I have never even heard or read of them throwing up their service as a means to get respect. But that's just the people I know. :shrug01: The fact that someone throws their service in my face does not pull a "switch" on my brain to give them automatic respect.

Hence when I get on a forum and I read about someone whining (yes, I said "WHINING" that his snakes weren't in separate packages..I immediately wonder what else is going on... because that was truely (IMO) too trival for words. I start wondering what was the motivation for bringing it up, most people that are familiar with the BOI know the tricks that can be pulled on the naive.

Then when the poster starts mentioning money..how they are broke and can't afford this and that..I just connect the dots and usually the person is not up to any good. So THAT'S why I put my opinion out there...but the statement about sticking around and someone will give him some money was a JAB at the naive that may decide to just give him some money since he's so "broke" and is a "Vet" and can't afford to eat...yet this person is buying up snakes (over 10)... and spending money on a Vet for the snakes...

I don't apologize for being really straightforward sometimes, it saves a LOT of time.

I agree whole heartedly - most of the time you would never even know a veteran from anyone else bc they never brag or boast about their service. Unfortunately, on 2 other occasions non reptile related I have experienced ppl pretending to be vets and using that to try to manipulate and guilt trip ppl into doing something for them. That to me is one of the most disrespectful (and disrespectful is not even good enough of a word) things a person can do.

Well, this thread hasn't been all bad for Denny....I'd bet that the mention of his site in this thread got him more traffic than all the free advertising sites he's got it posted on :ack2:

Do yourself a favor, Denny - some of those things are scammer havens, don't get yourself associated with them.

Hi. This is like the second time you've said this about me, and I'd like to clear this up. I produce about 3,000 colubrids a year. My wife and I also produce Black Heads, Womas, Angolan Pythons, various Ball Morphs, Leopard Geckos, Blue Tongues, Bearded Dragons, various Boas, Beaded Lizards, and a bunch of other stuff. At least 75% of what I offer for sale in my store is captive bred, and out of that, about 75% is produced here by us. I'm not sure what a "private breeder experience" is, unless you're referring to someone that breeds as a hobby or as a secondary source of income. For some reason your description makes me sound kinda nasty.

Ken - I think the way you conducted yourself in this forum is proof enough of the "experience" one will get when dealing with you - and it's a good one. I can't speak for shadowace, I think he may have meant that if the poster wanted very specific packaging and your undivided attention every time he wanted to speak with you, he should have looked for someone with a smaller business that would have less of a client base and less correspondence to deal with on a daily basis - please don't take that as me saying bc you run a large business w Many animals that you neglect your animals or clients, that's not at all what I'm saying.. I didnt take shadowace's comment as that either. Ii think it was along the lines of if you want someone that has lots of time to chat and that has free time to go above and beyond what's considered normal protocol for shipping - then he should have purchased from someone who only deals with a small group of animals, not with a large business that deals with thousands of different species and customers on a day to day basis.. Again not negative toward you at all - I already stated that I think your a great person to do business with. But I'm sure shadowace will clarify what he meant and I could be totally wrong..

Great job Willow!!! And everyone else who is willing to take the time and effort to expose these ......... fill in the blank. He's on our "don't do business list" also.

And Ken I was very impressed at how you handled it, I don't think I would have done as well.

And Denny, I honestly thank you for your service to our country if thats the truth, but I have to admit I'm sceptical. I think you got your pride hurt when you didn't get exactly what you wanted and were willing to got to whatever lengths nessasary, including lieing, supplying a pirated photo, blackmail, and then have your friend mislead Ken and waste his time sexing a bunch of snakes he had no intention of buying. It's very obvious to me who the "Good Guy" is here. Keep up the good work Ken and don't waste anymore time with this..........fill in the blank.

:rofl::rofl: ShadowAced is female. :rofl::rofl:

Wow, I go out for the day, and so much has happened in this thread
Great research on this obvious liar and (trying to be) thief

This guy just got swept right under the stairs.

Excellent

Didn't think I looked that manly in my icon pic.

It's the type of sunglasses, hat, no makeup and the way you posed that probably confused her. In that pic you don't exactly look feminine but I'm not trying to offend you because I have had many not so great pics taken of myself. LMAO
