In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Doc Walker, reptidoc, Dr. Daryl G. Walker = buyer beware

My friend asked me if I'd be willing to start doing every 7 days feeding with him-he said that he's doing so good that maybe we should think about that now, but I am not too sure I want to go that way yet

Normally I would say it would be ok but with Docs I just don't know. How much does they baby weight? And when was it's hatch date?

I am so sorry, but I feel like I must address this....
Reptilebaby left a positive feedback message on Doc's forum. I just can't understand that. I just can't.
Just because her baby has not died YET (and I am hoping it won't, but am not too hopeful), is no reason to post positive feedback. It rubs salt in the wounds of all the people whose babies died and it tells all the newbies that Doc is a good person to deal with. It's just wrong.

I'm sorry but I just don't get it....
am I missing something?

not every snake that doc sells is going to die. I'm sure some of his animals will do great. Look at Joe Perice he has not screwed everyone that he has delt with. What so hard to figure ot figure out. It is common sense. People would not be in business if they screwed every single person.I'm sure lots of people got good snakes off Doc Walker along with a lot of bad snakes

I know. But taking the time to write a positive feedback on his forum, when you have only had the animal 2 weeks, and dozens of other people have had snakes that literally starved to death under Doc's "care"....a positive feedback is like a gold star. Does Doc really deserve this?

What am I missing?
Or am I just emotional because I know some people who were really really hurt by losing their babies they got from Doc?

Here is the thread:http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54810

What I said 4 years ago makes me wanna throw up now! Glad I didnt buy anything from him back then.... waited for 4 years to 'buy' dead snakes :mah:

I am totally gutted! :bawling:

I purposely did not put that He IS healthy. I put that he APPEARED to be healthy. I was NOT trying to say he was a good guy, JUST that the snake appeared to be a healthy one. I am so far happy with him. Maybe I did mess up by posting that. BUT why shouldn't I post that he appears to be healthy if it seems to be true?
I KNOW that MANY people have had problems with dying snakes...and I was NOT trying to rub salt in anyone's wounds. I tried to word that post carefully, and did NOT state "Good Guy", only about the condition of the snake.

I AM hoping he continues to do well, and if he does I will stand by "He appears to be a healthy snake" I hope people forgive me for that if it really upset them. I am TOTALLY sypathetic with ANYONE who's lost a snake from him!

And Bethany, I did pm you on cornsnakes.com, in response to your pm to me, and I did admit I messed up-I didn't even think about the fact that people would read that and think I was giving him a glowing review or saying he was a good guy to buy from. I was NOT saying that, and even if this snake lives I won't be posting an actual good guy thread.

What gets me is that there are alot of GOOD breeders who for one reason or another there is no good feedback on. No good guy thread. I think because people are more apt to speak up when something is wrong, and not when things go right.
It is good that your boy appears healthy. I hope he IS healthy and stays that way. But it seems that this breeder STARVED his hatchlings to DEATH. So how can you go into his forum (which he controls) and volunteer the info that everything is going so well? A newbie seeing that will remember that you said it. A newbie will think everything is wonderful over in Docland. They may never even check the BOI and then ask yourself what happens next....

And if anyone goes into that thread and asks you why you said that, Doc and just delete it. So it will just stay there.....

Please, just help me understand this....

We posted at the same time.
I hope your boy lives a long long time, but I know people who bought from Doc whose snakes seemed to be doing well, and then MONTHS later they started dying, one by one.
I hope your boy does great, but if he dies that post is in that forum, and the only person who can delete it is Doc himself. Do you think he will do that? He will point other people towards it proudly and say "see, another satisfied customer".
I don't mean to be unfriendly here, but jeezalou!!!

I didn't realize he controlled it. I didn't even know about cornsnakes.com until I was told about it here. I assumed it was part of the site, moderated by the same mods and all. I know I must seem stupid, all I can say is I am sorry. :(

And I am glad Nanci told you about it. She is really good people. I know she told you that we are friendly over there, and for the most part we are! It is just so hard not to shake you right now! But at least being on the site can show you that there are alot of really good breeders to choose from.
Is there anyway you can delete it, do you think?

It seemed like longer than 2 weeks since I got him, and the stress of waiting and worrying. That, and I think my friend fed him 3 times since I took him over there so I guess it felt longer than it was! I am planning to take him to the vet next time I go that way, too(it's a 4 hour drive)

If he makes it, I'll be posting an info thread only, with the information that he is a healthy nice snake.

I don't know. Doubt it. I know I should have waited to say ANYTHING for alot longer than 2 weeks.

Why would she delete a post if it is the truth? If something happens to go wrong, then she would be able to add to it. Asking her to delete it is just wrong.

I agree, I should not have said that.
She also will not be allowed to add to it, as he controls all content in that forum.

I understand that...since this board is much more read than cs, she can always post here and reference that thread.
I hope her baby does very well....and I certainly hope Doc takes everything happening to heart and perhaps makes his collection into a more manageable number so the animals do not continue to suffer
