    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello all,

My name is Tarah, and I have been slacking on this post! I am a full time student in Environmental Science. I have a year left until I am finished with my Master's degree, and I plan on working in marine/ecological conservation and research. I am an avid scuba diver, and I love to travel. I am passionate about the ocean, reptiles and furthering my education. My boyfriend and I live in Richmond with 14 geckos, an albino corn snake, thousands of Dubia roaches and two rats. We currently keep 1.1.3 Uroplatus phantasticus, 1.1 U. ebenaui and 1.3.3 cresties. We have more geckos than anything, but we love snakes as well. We are always looking for Uroplatus! In particular, ebens, phants, sikorae and fimbriatus. All of our terrariums are naturalistic, and we enjoy enclosure design. We attend as many expos as we can deem feasible with full time schedules and so many animals that need our care. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to becoming more active in the forums now that I have lots of free time!

Hi Tarah, welcome!
I, too, am a scuba diver (PADI Instructor), raise cresties, and keep uros. Hmmm???

We live in Missouri, so we have to travel a bit more than you to get to the ocean, but we get there as often as we can.
Glad to have you here!

Hi Noelle!

Well that doesn't happen everyday at all! I am PADI and NAUI Advanced going for Rescue, and always continuing when money permits (continuing in grad school does not allow for a lot of extra money). What uros do you keep? Do you breed them? We are working on breeding over here, and it is looking promising! Will keep everyone up to date! Keep in touch, and thank you for the reply.

I keep phantasticus, which I've been trying to breed, unsuccessfully, for years. I purchased my first sikorae this summer, so I'm hoping to start a project with those this coming year. I hear they're much easier!
Good luck with your Rescue certification. That's the point at which the instructors can start getting really tough, and use their imagination, but it's well worth it! I used to put my best students through some really tough scenarios, and they loved it.
